Still runnin' stock '00 battery??

Mine still works fine.I've never had a cycle battery last so long.I do "Tend"it in the winter, but I think it's still impressive battery life.I see others with battery problems, guess I lucked out a bit.
When this one finally dies,I'll get the same one to replace it.

My '00 lasted to last spring last Year. Don't tend it over winter - just run the bike ones in the month. Was also very happy about the battery life 4 Years. And that was the first time I ever had to open the battery holder. So even if it was a little "hard" it wasn't nowhere near impossible as some say. So If I have to do it ones every 4 Years it dosen't borther if I have to open the case and do litte work if the design makes the frame better...

Original battery in the ZX12 and the ZRX, both '00. I do a terrible job of "tending" them. Have a method, just dont follow it very well.

I still have the original battery in my '94 zx-11. I may give it a trickle charge a couple of times in a winter but that's it. 79000 kms since I bought the bike new in august of "94. Of course now I've probably jinxed it.

Yep...

Still have the original battery in my '00 as well. I have had it on the charger a few times, and haven't really taken care of the battery like I should've. But, as long as the thing gets cranked every couple weeks I don't have any problems.

was super happy with mine too. i had to replace it last spring as well, but that was afterhaving NEVER tended it, never disconnected it over the winter, never started it over the winter (sat outside in the damp air and temps down to -15 untouched for 5 months every year), plus the previous season i had no overflow bottle so to keep the engine from spilling i killed and restarted the engine at almost every stoplight when riding in the city. add to that some 40,000kms of riding and plenty of physical misuse (wheelies and other jarring movements), and i can't beleive it lasted as long as it did. kudos to yuasa! (i think it was yuasa?)

I'm still using the original in my 00. I think I'll swap it out before this summer though.

My 02 battery died a few weeks ago .... and it was on a Tender that had the green light showing.
Fired it up and it went dead.

Anyway..... I may have the worlds fastest battery change record now. 25 mins from trip to Walmart to removal and install to buttoned back up.

I did abuse my battery with heated clothing and accessories like radar detectors.

Mine finally gave up couple months ago. Let it go dead too many times, & it's been on the battery tender ever since trying to bring it back to life. I have noticed if you don't charge it, or ride it ~once a month, it drains. I assume this is due to the ECU/Clock?

99' ZRX1100 still on origional battery; it does NOT drain down like the Ninja's does...

Voz that depends on how much use it gets, if it gets discharged, if its left in the cold, etc etc. I would hope at least 2-3 years maybe. Mine lasted almost 4 years, part of that with a Hi-Comp 1270 motor...

Is it just me or does the OEM Yausa's that are made in Japan seem to last longer than the ones you can buy at the dealer?

oem yuasa's are probably filled & charged properly at the factory, or by yuasa themselves.

i don't think they can import a battery that is capable of discharging energy. (ie has acid in it)

track bike gets walmart special

streetbike (whenever it finally croaks) will get another yuasa
