Huge Industries Front Turn Signal Pics

I ordered some new front turn signals for my bike yesterday. I'm getting then from huge industries, and they are a direct replacement. I don't think that they are really the "Bomb", but IMHO they do outlook the stockers by a mile. They're not flushmounts, but I won't buy any flushmounts until somebody makes a set of purpose built signals that fit the 12. I just haven't seen anybodys 12 with flushmounts that I REALLY liked.I hope that Robert Dussault does this in the future, he and I had a lengthy coversation about this after I ordered his undertail.

I ordered the ones with clear lenses because the signals on the undertail have clear lenses. They are round, and bullet shaped in the rear. I used paint shop pro to put a set on my bike to kinda get an idea of how it will look with the new signals, versus what it looks like now. The more I compare the pics, the more I like the new signals.

These pics are on the crude side, but it was the only front on pic I've got of my bike. I think it is an improvement, what do you guys think??????

Before

After

Also these things have dual filament bulbs so I think I can wire them up as running lights too.

Ninjaman...unless the company has done a 180 on their delivery and customer service after the sale, (I've read horror stories here and at the other sites), this could be a HUGE mistake...I hope not...good luck and I hope they treat you right...

I was one of the suckers that bought their over priced peice of shit mirrors. I have them and wont even put them on because they are such a peice of shit. i think i paid 250$$ for them and they look like they were made in somebodies garage.

I WOULD NEVER BUY ANYTHING FROM THEM AGAIN.

We'll See

You can be assured that if they give me a "run around" I'll post all the details here. My signals are supposed to ship no later than Monday and if they don't arrive in a reasonable amount of time a phone call to Citibank will keep them from getting any $$$$$$.

The guy I spoke with yesterday was very nice, and helpful. He also seemed to be very knowledgeable about the ZX-12R. I was on the fence about getting clear lens or amber, but made the decision to go with the clear because they'll match the ones on the rear. He said that if I didn't like the clear to call him and he'd ship me the amber lenses and clear bulbs, then I could ship him the clear lenses and amber bulbs back. (which I thought was a nice gesture)

Only time will tell, I know I saw a set of the exact same signals I ordered on a silver 12 (pics are on easy's site) and they looked pretty damned good. I'm going to give them the benefit of the doubt until they give me a reason to think otherwise.

..fuck it, ill just have to go make some more

I waited so long to do it that I figured it was too late and just didnt bother. also some of the board members sounded interested in buying them. but as soon as i sent the pictures of them to everyone, they didnt want them.

the pictures of the mirrors on his site make them look like a quality peice. I can GARAUNTEE you they are not.

I also didnt feel right selling them so I made sure to take lots of pics to show them to everyone.

harry- fuck you!!!

That's fucked up....

I hear you man, hate that you got stuck with some bullshit mirrors.

I wouldn't have even ordered these signals had I not saw them on a guys' 12 over on Easy's site. They looked slick, plus I have seen their other mini-stalk lights on a few other 12s and they looked nice as well.

Rest assured, If I open up a box and see some bullshit looking signals, I will tape the box up and ship it back the next day. Then if they try any slick shit I'll dispute the charges and let good ol' Citibank break the bad news to them.

I wish my pictures would fucking load, printroom must be down AGAIN!!!

Kewl........

I think I'll like them. The pics of the silver 12 that had the same signals I ordered looked tough. I wish my damned pics I posted would show up. They loaded this morning.

The thing I like about the signals is that they are a direct replacement, and should be a breeze to install. Plus they outlook the "School Bus" flashers 10 to 1. Like I said earlier, they aren't the "Bomb" IMHO, but are a definite improvement over stock. When someone builds a set of direct replacement flushmounts (Are you listening Robert?!?!?!? ) I will more than likely buy them. But for now I'll be perfectly happy with these. As far as Huge Industries customer service goes........well......only time will tell. The guy I talked to on the phone was super nice and very helpful. That's all I have to go on right now.

huge industries

hey ninjaman12r,i ordered a set of the bullit blinkers and i had a major problem with the service but i talked to the owner of the company and he said he has most of the problems with his customer service worked out..hopefully he was sincere about it..at least he sounded that way over the phone..the only thing that i did not like was the electrial connecters. I.M.O. they were kind of chincy....one other thing when i got my blinkers one of the lens's was cracked where the lens screw's into the back of the blinker..i called them up and they had me one in 2 days...good luck wiih your adventures with HUGE INDUSTRIES...reddawg:o

Huge Industries

1reddawg12r,
I hope that I don't experience any "Bullshit". It's like I've already said, the guy that I dealt with was cool, and I'm gonna give them the benefit of the doubt mainly because I like the look of their product. I will give everybody the 411 on all of it after I get my stuff from them and get it installed.

As far as the cheesey electrical connectors, that doesn't concern me. I NEVER use any type of crimp on connector on a bike with the exception of maybe a ground wire that's getting attached to the frame. I solder everything, then put shrink tubing over it, then wrap it in tape. You can forget about it after that. If you did it right that is. I did all my undertail wiring this way, did the yellow box install this way (that was a bitch), and will do the turn signals that way as well. It takes a little longer, but you'll have a much more reliable set up if you go that route.

...Ninjaman...not to discourage you or anything, but we've all dealt with "cool" con-men before, I know their routine...heck, I've even worked with people like that in the automotive aftermarket business (that's why I got out of a couple of them...I HATED THE LYING PEOPLE AROUND ME!!!...real smooth, take your money, promise you the world...in the mean time the company's thrashing to make the product and the owners are laughing cuz' they can actually sell their piece of shit product to some salivating fool (no, not you in particular, but their general target audience) at 200% profit...or more!!!...its like selling candy to kiddies, easy money...a lot of these "companies" look BIG and FLASHY in their ads, but you'd be surprsed to find out that ALOT...repeat ALOT of them are just cheesey outfits with minimum wage assemblers and eyecatching websites...AND THAT'S THE F*CKIN' TRUTH!...how do you explain something as simple as cracked lenses where the the screw goes in and charge that much?...where's the QC? (quality control)...was this 'cool guy' who seems to have the answers even paying attention to his product?...dude, I saw the signals at Laguna last year, they're not the 'greatest' in my opinion (but then again, I have a Green bike and some people question MY tastes )...and the mirrors looked like a junior-high school project (there was what appeared to be 'assembly glue' or something between the mirror and the housing...and they wanted HOW much?)...again, no rain here, I'm with you and the rest of us who pay good money and expect perfection that is promised...just a heads-up...

How many fucking times do I have to say "If the signals aren't what they should be, I'm sending the motherfuckers back".
It's a pair of $79 turn signals, not a crankshaft. I appreciate everyone giving me a forewarning. Honestly I do, I'll keep my guard up. But in the end it's still like I said "Right now I've got to give them the benefit of the doubt". The pics of the signals on the silver 12, that's on easy's site, are identical to the ones I ordered and looked fine to me. ( When compared to the stockers. ) I have said that I didn't think these were the "Bomb", and if someone comes out with a quality purpose built flushmount I'll be on it like white on rice. But until then these will suit me just fine barring any problems that MAY occur.

Thanks for the concern, but PLEASE don't worry. I'll be ok.
