If you trim the curved part off of the rear of the cover, it will go on and off within your life time!

I just pulled my plugs and they're all black which I believe was from warming it up with the enrichner on.I wish I could of gotten a more accurate reading.Oil were on the threads, hoping that was put on by the dealer when they changed them to get a more truer torque reading.I think what I'm worried about with the plastic cover ,is if it will cause the coil wires to become brittle from the heat.

put it in the box with the other parts that you don't need

that "enrichener" just increases idle rpm, it shouldn't cause the plugs to get black (at least i think so)

Are you talking about the fast idle?? How long do you let the bike warm up?? Shouldnt be more than 1min or so.

I let the bike idle until it came up to 9o'clock,several minutes due to 25 degrees outside, and then blip the throttle several times to try and shoot the mouse out.By the way ,I found nothing in there after pulling the pipe.

Outside temp dont matter. You would do the bike better to let the temp guage move 1 tick and then ride the bike. Long idle periods are more harmful than useful.

I'm just storing it and start it every 2-3 weeks to keep the battery good.

If you're storing...... put in some fuel stabilizer, fresh oil, and pull the battery and put it on a battery tender and PARK IT. YOu are not doing your bike or battery any good running it at idle without riding it.

heat shied

Isn't this cover required to secure/attach part of the plenum and front nose fairing? Or am I thinking of the wrong cover?

That is the #1 thing they are good for, BUT, you still need fuel stabil because they are not in the FI or Carburators and they will get gummed up!
