Vince that is bad. but you know God knows and with that type of treatment. he will not make it. look for him 5 yrs from now. you have to be careful in a buisness like his he already has a certain market. why you think the kits are so high. if you want to survive ask MUZZY how , ask SCHNITZ how , ask ORIENT EXP. how there r others. but u get it. if he did it to Pierre he will do it to others.

Doug, I am glad you have your sense of Humor Let us be sincere for 1 minute (Or how ever long it takes me to write the next few words.
The Stealth Kit and Pump $1,300 This equals these below listed items I bought.
NX System $500 minus the $125 for the 2.5 # bottle your system does not include = $375
Two Sets of SPray Nozzles (to get what I wanted because the Kit came with a set $500
The extra 250 Shot Solenoid (WIll your system handle 250 Shot of NOS?) $125
Fuel pressure cut off and fuel pressure gauge< $100> (I know your system does not need this so I will pit a minus here).
Add this up and I have spent $1,100 compared to the $1,300 and I have the capability of 250 Shot of NOS. So my system is $200 Cheaper??
"Or" are you saying that for the $1,300 Muzzy Kit, that I can get the 2- 10# and 3- 2.5# Nos Bottles and filled ($700), NOS Pressure Gauge ($50), Heat Blanket ($60), NOS FIlters ($50), Micro Switch ($5), MRE (Muzzy) NOS Button ($50) , Schnitz (Muzzy) Nos Controller ($250), Schnitz (Muzzy) Timing Retard ($275) and finally with the Stealth Kit I can spray 150 to 175 Shot of NOS without the Forged Thicker crown Pistons ($750) and the money spent for Gaskets ($85), Base Spacers ($35) and Adjustable Cam Gears installed $150? "WOW"!! That would have saved me $2,450!! If you are saying to me and everyone that None of this would be necessary with the Muzzy Stealth Kit, then you are correct! Instead of me spending over $3,500 I could have gotten my 150 to 175 HP for $1,300, then I suggest to everyone make a copy of this and go to Muzzys and even give them a $100 Tip because it sure will be worth it! :Rolleyes. Doug, everyone hates to waste money! I wasted $1,500 over 2 years and 1/2 of that was on the JE Pistons. But please do not say that your Kit could and would have the potential of what I have now for $2,500 <$100> = $2,400 less. OK??

AMEN! That is why I will deal with Schnitz and Muzzy and DOug Ray at Spencer Cycle and People like Johnny Cheese. I was never more pleased to see that Rob Himself responded when I got a clutch Hub that was not cleaned before shipping and was even forthright enough to look into what he had in stock and correct it. No one else I know does that or even cared!

Thanks ENT, I really am not trying to re-invent, but make some "Adjustments" and DIfferences ? to the Wheel. As it stands, "Most" People are building an engine and adding 50 to 100 Shot to what they built. I am taking away from the engine and using a lot larger shot than most people are doing. Actually there are 2 people doing what I am doing and just because you do not understand it and it goes against the Norm, does not mean it is wrong or will not work better!
Because Of my size and other things, I have "ALWAYS" had to swin up stream. The deal is, after 60+ years, I have yet to fail to get where I was going. If I only had to go 202 or 203, I would have been there by now. If I was 125 to 150 Lbs, I would have taken another route a lot cheaper and simpler. To go 220 and weigh over 1/8 ton just takes a lot more than most people are used to dealing with.
I became #4 ranked Amature at almost 200 Lbs in the 250 CC Class (The one we all had to ride) I took a Kawasaki Big Horn Road race frame that Art Bauman had and got it from Bon Hansen that owned Team Hansen Kawasaki (The Kawasaki Team in the early 70's) and put a Water Cooled Yamaha engine in it with Air COoled Primary gears and turned the engine 13,000 rpms with 2 different peoples ideas in engine building and became an AMA Expert by beating the skinny guys on later models of the Factory Yamahas. My stuff weighed a "LOT" Less and turned and stopped a lot better than all of their stuff (215 lbs and 52 inch wheel base) Theirs was about 250 to 275 lbs and 55 to 57 inch wheel bases at 11,500 to 12,000 rpms.
SO everyone just relax and watch how this turns out. This last configuration will be wrung out by April and If I have not gone broke (Not on this but dealing with my Mother's estate and my court case) The bike with me on it will go over 210 and with Randall over 220 mph Next year.

quote: Another alternative might have been purchasing the well tested Muzzy Stealth Kit for $1200, adding an $89 Muzzy high flow fuel pump, opened the box, spent a saturday afternoon installing same, put in the correct jets for the desired power level and gone racin'. Now, if that didn't provide sufficient speed (and I'm pretty sure it would have, having ridden just such a setup) you could have easily added upgrades from there. But hey, that's just me.
Doug
Doug you got me! As my kids say, you made me look.
That pump is not $89 it's $189.

Yes there are, but the "If's" are (To paraphrase Paul Sr. on American Chopper) "The If's are what "Was" and I am dealing with the "What" is!"
(If I only wanted to go 202 or 203! If I weighed 125 to 150 If I wanted to do it like everyone else (Maybe I would have bought a BUSA??)
When I saw the $89 for the Pump, I was thinking that it was the Price when you added the pump to the purchase of the Stealth kit?? (You got $100 off?)

ok one thing that is slightly bugging me is your constant reference to a bike built to make 350rwhp, so far it's about 125hp shy of that mark. My point is that a dry kit on a stock bike with a pipe and gearing could have "out performed" your investment thus far. Your plans are grand but so far the results are not a 220 mph bike nor 350rwhp engine, so the answer is yes personally I think you would have been better off paying Lee's or Coby to build you a SOLID 210+rwhp naturally aspirated bike that runs and performs flawlessly all the time for the same money and then bolted a simply Muzzys dry kit or Stealth on top if you wanted more.

Vincent- The answer to your original question is, the stock fuel pump will not work for what you want to do. I applaud your efforts to make a better or cheaper system. I have been doing that for 40 years, and have spent over a million dollars. Wisdom in my old age has taught me the best way is to start with the best thing available and then improve on it. Much cheaper.

Rob Muzzy, (Only in America) Your stealth system got the fuel from the stock pump but was only using between 50 to a 100 Shot. Now knowing that the pump you sell can produce 350 pounds per hour of fuel at 50 PSI, I am sure that using that pump and a "Bypass" fuel regulator will achieve the results and Packaging I am looking for.
What I want to do is remove the lean Spike that is caused by the NOS being under higher pressure moves first from a dead stop by having the fuel under movement right at the Solenoid which will speed up the delivery of the fuel into the mix. After a few more test, I will be ordering a Fuel Pump from you and hopefully get the results I think I can get. A smaller lean surge at the hit of the Button (not complete removel of it).
I forgot to say, Thank you Rob for taking the time because I know that right now, you may never have been busier and everything you just said is how it is. I may not be spending millions, but it is all I have for this idea and until I can either prove or disprove that it will work in the next month or so, I am in it.
PS: "Clean House" with the Buell looking bike!!

Bergie, you always have a seat at my table when I am at Capt Larry's! You are always welcome there on me.
Actually I am over 300 HP right now. When the button was hit at 7K the bike was making 100 HP the additional 150 HP took it to 250 HP. When the Button is hit at 9K the bike is making 150 HP and the additional 150 HP is taking me right to 300 HP. The problem I was having was the large solenoid I was using (At that time) was taking 25 to 32 amps to operate where the fuel solenoid was only taking .8 amps to operate and the controller could not handle the differences and allowed the engine to get very rich right after the lean spike and trailed off the HP as opposed to increased by the additional 25 the engine could produce. This would have given me 325 HP on a 150 shot. (or 25 short of the 350 I was looking for.)
I will be finished with this experiment by early January and will post the Dyno results. Fair enough? (I will let you leave the tip!

Good Question. When my bike fell over and threw Peggy to the ground and put a small cut over her eye, we had to go to the Hospital. We asked them where they eat and it was Capt Larry's About 2 to 3 times the food for the Price. It is in Laurinburg 1 exit before the Holiday inn Express Exit on I-74
My only question is, When I go over 200, how are we going to decide who is happier? Everyone on all of the Boards? All of the People at the ECTA? Me? My Family? All I know is this is like waiting for the Birth of an Elephant!

Make it 4!
I've been talking to Dave Turner at Muzzy's for a few days now. Trying to get them to build a few more kits. He said today he talked to Rob about it and Rob was going to talk to Doug about it.
Mr. Meyer...Paging Mr. Meyer.
Doug, any insight you might have for us would be greatly appreciated.
I've got the cash. No tire kicker here...
Thanks,
