Just got Home from Maxton (No Cigar)
I think most of you know that I was having trouble with the New Set up but felt that maybe I could control it enough to got over 200. The graph shows that when the button was hit that within 200 RPMS I gained 150 HP and because the Fuel was soo rich, the Power would fall off. Like a controller in reverse. This plus the fact that the Motor Only was retarded (Forgot to bring the advancer to use with the PC3 (no "r" and the Schnitz retard takes another 1.5 degrees st 10K off button) it wound out slowly in the lower gears. The bike made the first pass at 188+ with a few hits of NOS to see what it was doing, then a 192 and then a 195 or 196 Best for me and I had already had enough. Sideways at 150 is no fun!
I put randall on the bike for his 4th ever pass at Maxton and I think he ran a 192, then 194, 196, 199.23 198.7 and a real bad 180 pass where he hit the rev limiter in 6th (Spinning so much) We eventually had 19 / 44 gearing but he spun so much that he was in the limiter again in 6th in the lights! He may have gone over 200 but the clocks were not working correctly and they used the back up system that gives 1 speed! Who Knows.
The thing I have always known is that to take a step forward, that you must always over come the 2 backward to get there. I could have improved on the old set up and run just over 200, but that is not what I want to run!
All of the ZX12r's Broke except 1 and I sure thought ours did when The tower told the start line that our bike was the one making the popping noise!
The #1 thing everyone seemed to like were the long "Flames" coming out of the muffler from the over rich condition! Later, I am going to get some sleep!

Sorry to hear that sounds like a bad weekend. Let me get this right.. are you saying that the bike hit the limiter in 6th using 19/44 gearing?? Something doesn't add up. That is rediculous gearing! One way to lean out the mixture is to add more nitrous did you try stepping up the pills to compensate?
Man I read that Coby's ZX10 went 202 mph ALL MOTOR that's crazy fast! That guy can build a bike!

YES "19 / 44" Gearing!! it was spinning so hard that that it was banging the limiter in the lights! (Randall was riding his heart off and did not lift!) Bergie, there were so many expirements going on at this one time that I did not have the time to quantify a lot of the results.
Just 2 things I did was remove the NOS Foggers and replace them with ones that were made by NX, but they were larger and used a 1/8" Pipe tap as opposed to a 1/16" Pipe tap. The other thing I did was on the NOS SIde I put in a larger Solenoid that will flow enough to make 250 more HP because I was having trouble getting enough flow to make more than 220 HP Max. With this set up I went there with, at the Hit of the Button I was making as much as 330 HP, but it was coming on so strong is over whelmed the tire and Randall was riding a bike that was spinning from about 4th gear on and only hooking between shifts!
Add to these two things that There was no advance on Motor Only and at 10,000 RPMS I was actually losing 1.5 degrees of advance, I had a very lazy Motor Only part of the run. I actually know what I need to do to cure most (If not all of this), but time just ran out! The reason that Joea did not see me was after working on the bike from 10PM to 7AM Thursday night and putting it on the Dyno from Noon to 5PM Friday to try to smooth some of these things out, I Still had to pick up the NOS and do a "Lot) more work on the Bike (Like change Oil, Safety wire everything, change plugs, Both the front and rear Fairings, pack up all of my tools and spares and pack the van not to mention my cloths). Also Peggy came home from the Hospital where she has been every day dealing with her Mother's 4th Heart attack "Please to the people that are still smoking, seriously try to stop! It is hard to lose someone over a "BUTT"!) and packed everything and I did not leave until after 3AM "DOG" Tired! I did not get to Maxton until about 11:30 AM (I had to stop for an Hour about 15 miles short of I-295 before it hits I-95 in Virginia. I stopped in a gas station and slept for an hour just so I could see where I was Going! Remember, I am 61 doing this and my brain may be 17, my body is about 83 years Old
I will get all of the issues resolved and make between 325 and 400 HP Safely and do want I want to do and go 220!

My worse fault is I cannot stop until I do what I set out to do and the way I planned to! I was hoping that Old age would help, but it did not! Do not worry about the Give up part, I just need rest and I still want to work on it more than ever! !!
