silverd, i think u'r point is worth a bit of explanation as there are no doubt others who get the same impression.
compared to the 2 for $20 sale deal you see at your local Walmart, yes these are expensive. But here's the thing: the base shirt price for us is something similar to that, but then they have to be printed, the printer makes some profit, we're ordering in small quantities so the price is higher, we lose some percentage on the transaction, more % on exchange, and then shipping plus shipping supplies come to about $7US. basically we're selling the shirts themselves for about $18US which u'll find is pretty competitive when it comes to custom shirts sold by websites like us. i bought a T from homestarrunner.com not too long ago, cost me $15US plus $7US shipping (plus tax & a customers $5 charge when i picked it up), and that is a site that sells Ts by the thousands. those guys make a living off their shirts (2 or 3 people to boot). so we can't expect to match those kinds of rates as much as we'd like. plus we give several shirts away to say thank you to some people, like the moderators and sponsors. that eats into the costs too.
end result, is as tempting as it was to charge more since so many other sites do so, we did our damndest to keep the prices as low as we could. last time we sold merchandise (the hats) we actually lost money in the end. we can't do that again. as long as people actually but the shirts they've been clamouring for for years, we won't this time.

oh, and if u were to value the time put into the shirts by oliver & myself (finding a vendor, chooseing the options, coming up with the design, ordering it, picking it up, sorting & folding & packaging it all, going to the post office every few days with an order, and creating an online store) we definitely lost alot of money anyway.

I can vouch for T cost.
The SBW shirts are reasonably price when I buy 600 shirts.
I've wanted to do a run of sportbikewest.com shirts for web sales but, like frEEk says, they end up costing me $25 bucks.
So uless I order several hun, It ain't cost effective. Too many people see wally sell'n knock off cambodian T's for 2 bucks a pop and think custom Fruit'O the Loom shirt should be the same.

Does that mean I'll get an extra shirt with my order?

ya know I got an email from easyrider's site a week or so ago saying they are selling their shirts for the same amount. as a poor college student, that is a lot of money IMO to buy some clothes. that said, I held out for bikeland's stuff, and gladly dont mind paying the posted price, especially to help fund a site that I enjoy promoting and frequenting. fish and freek do provide a service to every one of us where there really is no compensation for all the time they have into the site.
ill be wearing my bikeland gear on the honda rune at this year's show hehe

let me repeat what I've already written above and is written on the order page too:
SHIPPING IS INCLUDED
US$25 is ALL you pay to get a tshirt to ur door.
beans, according to his order form, easy charges $33US for 1 XL T shipped, and $36 for 1 XXL or bigger T. regardless, we do appreciate u choosing us for ur scant college dollars, especially when you could be spending it on beer and/or strippers

I shudder to think what a $25 dollar stripper looks like.
Please don't post any example pictures either.

CMON ladies and gents........whats the deal.......I hear everyone saying they want shirts and such for the site.....BUT now that they are available....nobody is biting......WHATS the deal?!?!?
fish and princess put up their own money to have them made, all they wanna do is recover the money they shelled out, NOT make a profit.
Get after it boys and girls......I got mine, NOW you get yours!!
