It may seem that way, but it's really all about making even more bucks.
They are building more VIP areas (you can see the banner in a couple photos) and that will bring in big bucks. They are eliminating a lot of tent areas and setting up more motorhome areas. Big bucks.
I'd bet they make up the cost and start turning a profit on the makeover very quickly.
That good ol' boy ain't no dummy when it comes to making money.

he needs to build a "real" road course; the infield course (leading to the banking) universally sucks for bike racing...
