Can you back ANY of that stuff up Moody? With fact? I doubt it.

The fact is that Kerry has refused to release all of his service records. Many of the records that he has not released are related to evaluations by his superiors AND around the sketchy details of his discharge. This is FACT.

Here is the FACT about the statement RE: people that served directly with John Kerry support him (from Swift Vets and POWS for Truth):

John Kerry has been able to convince about 13 men who served on Swift boats in the Mekong Delta to support him, 7 or 8 of whom were at various times crew members on his own 6-man boat. Those are the men the Kerry campaign so prominently featured at the Democratic Convention. The photograph we have posted at SwiftVets.com shows Kerry with 19 of his fellow Swift boat OICs (Officers In Charge) in Coastal Division 11. Four OICs were not present for the photograph. Only three of his 23 fellow OICs from Coastal Division 11 support John Kerry.

Overall, more than 250 Swift boat veterans are on the record questioning Kerry's fitness to serve as Commander-in-Chief. That list includes his entire chain of command -- every single officer Kerry served under in Vietnam. The Kerry game plan is to ignore all this and pretend that the 13 veterans his campaign jets around the country and puts up in 5-star hotels really represent the truth about his short, controversial combat tour.

The Swift boats fought in groups, so the other OICs who fought alongside Kerry know him well and can accurately describe what he did and did not do. In many cases Kerry's fellow OICs had a better perspective than his own crew members, since the latter had no way to determine whether he was following orders and how well he worked with"

FACT not crap.

You describe my comments as "misinformation". What is your definition of misinformation? My comments are based on fact. Yours seem to be wild ass unsubstantiated crap. No, I do not listen to Rush. Never have, never will. I ALSO don't listen to crap heads like Michael Moore who's tactics and movies remind me painfully of another propaganda expert ... perhaps you have heard of him "Joseph Goebbels"??

Lets take each of your statements:

1. 350+ tons of explosives "missing" in Iraq. Fact here is that nobody has the complete details of this accusation. There have been reports that the amount is vastly overstated, that our troops actually disposed of the explosives, that they were "missing" prior to our troops arriving in Iraq (what a GREAT reason to go to war!!) etc. Kerry is actually basing his attacks on Bush in this matter on unfounded rumors. He is going off "half-cocked" without the facts. Not a good way to lead

2. Cheny saying "he has more important things to do than fight in Vietnam". Um. yeah. That is a new one. Where did you dig up those "facts"? Please let me know so that I can review this.

from my possition, it looks like you are the one that keeps spouting missinformation.

BTW - I already addressed the "where are the WMD" question earlier in this thread. THe war was never about WMD's. This WAS NOT THE REASON TO GO TO WAR. One of the other members (can't remember who at the moment) actually responded better than I did - he asked the same question I just asked (basically) show me PROOF that Bush made the statement that WMD's were the only reason to go to war. You can't. Its not real and it is another fabrication.

OK. So, you were factually incorrect in your statement - he did NOT say "he has more important things to do than fight in Vietnam" (this was how YOU interperated it). What he DID say was that he had different priorities at the time. Well, I suppose you can question his priorities, but the fact is that Cheny was doing different things at the time. Now, I admit that this statement is dumb - and in retrospect a bad satement. But given what Kerry has said about our country, what his commanding officers have said about him, his refusal to release his service records - I still stand by my possition. I'd STILL rather have Bush in office than Kerry. I STILL think the lessor two evils here by FAR is the poor statment (from 1989) by Cheny.

if you are in to offroad riding...don't vote kerry...

quote:
Kerry, speaking to the Sierra club last week was asked his position on banning snowmobiles from Yellowstone; "When I am elected your next President I will LIMIT and ELIMINATE the use of off-highway vehicles on public lands to stop the damage that they cause."

also restated here:
http://www.johnkerry.com/pdf/vision.pdf

page 8

though many of his claims are false in that document, the federal government already DOES perform the studies Kerry claims he will institute....that's what the EPA gets paid to do....

that's just one, and a mediocre attempt at research can debunk many of the things said in that vision. Also the comments and assumptions made to get to their comments are based on the "Bush is evil" template, and not based on factual information.

but that's not new in politics....

deathpulse: if people researched the truth about what is said no one would be buying Kerry's line of BS.

also he has OPENLY ADMITTED that he never released his military records...to tom brokaw....

that's a little thorn in the side of those here who claim he HAS released them all...he never did....

http://msnbc.msn.com/id/6354942/
requires IE and newest flash player plugin to view, won't work in mozilla.
but transcript is there for the world...

no regrets bringing up Mary Cheney, he claims it was done with respect...please....he could have answered that question 100% without bringing her in to it. unfortunately his lack of class, and his running mate's wife's comments soon after were totally 100% uncalled for...

as far as rush, i can stand about 5 minutes... that's as long as it takes to start repeating himself.

boortz is much more entertaining,a nd he bashes bush just as much as kerry. BUT the main difference between boortz and addison/moody? he refuses to let bashing of EITHER side that is false...

i have heard him correct 5 callers (in last 2 weeks) who were trying to falsely accuse Kerry of some issue or another, and he was quick to cut them off and fix the error.

but then again he is libertarian and not republican, so that helps a lot.

the worst thing a voter can do is to make an uninformed, or poorly informed decision.

i ask again:

what has John Kerry actually offered that makes HIM a superior candidate?
so far the most coherent response i have yet to get from ANY person has been "He's not Bush, anything is better than Bush"

what plan does John Kerry actually HAVE to make Iraq better? nothing he has said is something new, it is all already in place or in progress.

What plan does John Kerry actually HAVE to improve education? throwing more money at the schools is NOT going to fix it...the more money spent, the worse it gets........what's a REAL and REASONABLE plan that Kerry offers that will WORK?

What (other than raising tax rates on everyone---see his website, it is clear.....repeal of Bush tax cuts will restore 5 tiers instead of 4, and all rates will go back to previous levels...even though federal income is HIGHER now than it was with the previous tax rates....) does John Kerry plan on to "improve" the economy? He voted for NAFTA, which started the whole "outsourcing" thing....and everyone's best buddy Clinton signed it.....

here's an interesting take on our current "horrible" economy, and our "record breaking" defecit...

http://www.townhall.com/columnists/jackkemp/jk20041018.shtml

etc etc
i have gone through 3 candidate's platforms, how many of YOU can say the same thing?

the biggest difference between the 2? one has real-world experiance in combat situation. one has real-world experience as commander in chief. one has a reputation of being pig-headed and stubborn. one has the reputation of being swayed by the tides of popular opinion.

one has a VERY objectionable record as a naval officer. his conduct was NOT becoming of a naval officer. it was NOT in accordance with the basic tenets of BEING an officer in the United States of America.

by his own words, he damned himself, when he said he performed the dastardly things he testified to. or if he did NOT perform the acts, but lied about them. it makes no nevermind to me. either way he is 100% UNFIT to do anything in ANY leadership role.

i doubt you will find ANY military person who would be willing to serve with a man who they KNEW had committed atrocities. NOR can i think of any who would be willing to serve with someone who had LIED UNDER OATH as an OFFICER of the US Military to performing those acts, if they did not indeed happen as he admited to.

i cannot fathom how ANYONE can even consider voting for John Kerry, on those facts alone...

but even going beyond his reprehensible behavior of years past IN A LEADERSHIP POSITION, what else does he have in 20 years in senate?

what does he offer that is TRULY compelling?

please, SOMEONE give me a really good reason to vote Kerry this year..that hasnothing to do with Bush....ANYONE?! Bueler......Bueler.....

a good read from Ben Stein (since i DID invoke steinwith the bueler comment ;P

http://www.benstein.com/103104bush.html

the AMA link to the comments Kerry made about OHV use..

http://www.ama-cycle.org/legisltn/newsandnotes/1004.asp

oh, i forgot to mention...

Halliburton's contract came from the army, not the president.

the army corps of engineers gave the reason (emergency need) why THEY awarded that no-bid contract. this also has been beat to death. many times,,,,,
here is the link again:
http://www.hq.usace.army.mil/cepa/oilsynopsismod.htm

quote:
The contracts to be awarded will replace the non-competitive contract for emergency services work related to the oil infrastructure that was awarded to Kellogg Brown & Root by the Corps prior to the start of the war in Iraq.

If people are looking for negatives, how about WAR!! how does it get worse than that? Exactly what did IRAQ do to the USA? Would not jump when we said jump? All the pro-war people can say is, "we are freeing the Iraqi people" what kind of BS is that? What about China, Iran, etc. etc.? The other support for the war is "well he(Hussein) was going to do something in the future". What kind of BS is that? Anybody remember the Cold War? Russia was ALWAYS looking for ways to get us. What did we do? Nothing! Why? Because they did nothing! And a couple of people on this thread said the Iraq situation had NOTHING to do with WMD's! That's BS too!!If I research back & document PROOF(AP, Reuters, etc.) that WMD's were the main reason That we entered Iraq, will you Bush guys vote for Kerry instead? Again, I'm not voting for Kerry as much as I am voting to get rid of Bush! I would vote for Martha Stewart, before Bush!!

Addison. Let me break it down for you.

1. We are NOT saying that the only reason we went to war was to free the Iraqi people - altough that is a benefit of going to war. We went to war to defeat the idiology of violent terrorism. Read my earlier posts on the subject. It is simliar to the war that was fought in WWII.

2. Get your proof - nobody has yet. In fact, so far you have made a TON of crap statements and you have only backed up ONE of them - with a comment that you originally mis-stated.

3. What Slug was asking for was POSITIVE things that KERRY has done. Are you voting for Kerry just because you don't like Bush, or because Kerry will actually be a possitive candidate?

Iraq is NOT WW2!! Japan attacked us! They had a alliance with Germany & Italy! Which is why we declared War on all 3 of the Axis powers! What positive things about Bush? War & a deficit federal budget? I did state above ANYBODY but Bush!! Bush lost the popular vote last time, don't that say something right there? We shall see tomm.!!
