This has GOT to the the most awesome (and dangerous) riding i have ever seen

http://bandit.bikepics.com/BlackPrince-ParisRingRoad-381sec.wmv

Bike: Suzuki GSX-R 1100
Rider: "Le Prince Noir" (The Black Prince)
Length: 6.21 Minutes
Size: 14.6 Meg
Media Format: Windows Media Video 8
Date: 3 February 2001
Info: This is 6 minutes out of a very fast lap around the Paris ring road. The rider was known as the Black Prince and his bike was a Suzuki GSXR 1100 (black and silver) with a DEVIL exhaust (about 145bhp).

The article refers to the guy as "was known" and his bike "was". I wonder if he is still around

Its known as pasquas_ride or some shit on some other sites. I believe he has passed (wonder why). Think there are a couple other vids of this guy around but as of yet have not found them.

He's dead now. Story goes that he tried it one too many times and got taken out by a cager who didn't signal a lane change. Good clip though!

Looks like a pretty normal ride to me. I'm not sure what all the fuss is about.

Hi All,

For Turbo,
i don't know your riding rules in america
but if you arrive to ride like this in paris
I'll said you two things :

you're a road master
or welcome to the death's kingdom

most of frenchs don't respect passing lanes overall in paris

Yes he was killed on the same route trying to lower his own record. Cage forgot to signal...

Still, one of the most hair raising ride video's I've ever seen. It came out about 1.5 yr. ago if memory serves. Many of us have all ridden like that for short distances; but this guy kept it up through the whole ring road. Awesome! Guy had some balls man. Shame it got to him eventually...

If you haven't seen it, it's worth the download...

Multiple speed peaks in excess of 150 mph! Wow ... I have trouble holding a straight line on a country road at 150 mph. With each passed car the odds were completely against him before ever finishing his first run; he had to really want to leave this world badly, for such a short term of notoriety. I don't believe he thought he was invincible.

I was just trying to figure his average speed

I was figuring an average of around 175~200 kph (108~124 mph). An 11 minute run at that kind of speed would have worked out to about 32~37 km (20~22 miles).

What is a shame is the total waste of an amazing talant. I could see him blowing the leathers of the likes of Maldin or Bostrom. I guess it's like Neil Young said.... It's better to burn out then to fade away.
