Did they pop ya with a no insurance ticket ta boot? If so you might be carefull, idaho is a quick state to slap you with an sr22 which requires you to maintain insurance or your license is suspended, and that includes mc endorsements.

He asked for insurance...and I said "Washington state does not require motorcyclists to carry our proof of coverage when it comes to insurance" and he was like "ok". I did not get a ticket for no insurance.
quote:Hey beans have you thought about getting a "Fuck the Police" Bumper sticker for your bike? That might, you know break the ice a little when you get stopped, which seems to be about 2.3 times per quarter. Most politzi have a well honed sense of humor. If you can make em laugh or let them wear themselves out beating you half to death they might just write you a warning and let you go, in an ambulance of course, but at least you won't have to go to court.
You might seriously consider running for office or finding a girlfriend who's brother is a cop and getting some FOP signage, hell for what you spend in legal fees you could buy half a police department!
You're better off getting this book: http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/0380807580/qid=1095523334/sr=8-1/ref=sr_8_xs_ap_i1_xgl14/104-1128881-1087124?v=glance&s=books&n=507846 --- the methods outlined in it have saved my ass more than once.

Uhhhhhh...not quite maybe reckless if they felt like stretching it otherwise just a speed violation worth about $230. and considering the place/time, im leaning towards taking the rest of the shift off and gettin my 12 out and joining ya!
As far as the GPS thing goes...thats new to me. I have heard about rental agencies equiping their cars with GPS to jack up your rental agreement but I cant see how GPS could be used without having a transmitter on your car.
anyway, jail time for 93 in a 65??? that blows ass ____________

Hey rockin 5-0, good to see another fellow board member from Washington State. You prolly never read my post from a few months back, I got tagged in WA going 106 in a 60, and they didnt take me to jail. The ticket was $400, but for $200 a lawyer had it dismissed.
I can only hope to be so lucky in the blasted state of potatoes.
I got cited in Idaho alright, and was handcuffed, and taken to the county jail which was over an hour away from the site I was pulled over. I watched a trucker impound my 12 right there on the spot. They literally strapped a cable all the way underneath it and dangled it up and drove off that way with my 12 hanging in the air...not pretty.
How did they do this without damaging the plastics????

UPDATE!! Well I just got back from a night court session in Bonner County, Idaho...I did not get a lawyer due to saving $$$ so I can buy even more bikeland shirts (that's my plug-in so get the shirts before I buy them all up!!)...
But yeah...I spoke to the prosecutor personally and took a plea-bargain resolution and walked out of the courtroom tonight with merely a speeding ticket, paid $108 to the Idaho donut fund, and it's in the past now.
So yeah, first ticket to stick in what, four years now. Reckless driving all the way down to a speeding ticket, in Idaho nonetheless...
I wish I had a pic of the judge wearing the bikeland shirt!
