Fucking Hurricanes

They SUCK! I'm really lucky though as I still have power and not too much stuff got tore up. A dead pine tree on my neighbors property (that I asked him to cut last year) the top broke off and went through the roof on my enclosed 18 x 41 enclosed carport. It's still raining here but the wind has died down.
I drove out to go to work today and the power is out in the plant and surrounding area. Man there is a lot of flooding.Water coming across the road about a foot and a 1/2 deep.Glad I live on high ground.I feel for the people who got the brown end of this hurricane stick.
I have a lot of extremely large trees in my yard so I got one hell of a mess to clean up but none of the trees fell.

Same here, branches everywhere, still have power, but the yard flooded. Glad I filled those sandbags and I'm keeping them close cause there's another one coming for next weekend. What's with these fuckin things only stopping by on the weekends especially when something's going on at the track?

In Miami, we just had intermittent power outages and lots of trees and branches down. Luckily I just had the huge tree in my yard trimmed earlier this year, so not too much fell from it. I really think Ivan's steering committee should really consider spreading the joy and bypassing Florida altogether.

It's a mess around here, but I've been pretty lucky the past two.

I was out today and saw a lot of stripped roofs, lots of downed trees, signs, wires, and LOTS of water where I've never seen water before. There is little power, but it's slowly coming back.

Buy stock in Duracell and Home Depot, sell FPL and Allstate.
