Streetfighter 12R spotted for 2006!

Spotted this Streetfighter 12R in beta-testing for 2006 model year... Reported to be called the "ZX-12X", it should debut in late summer of 2005 and be available in Black, Titanium (pictured), Orange and Green...

Euro model (as shown) has smaller euro-signals... Stateside models are expected to sport larger DOT apporved units.

They sneak it in on the odd test ride here and there...

Streetfighter is reported to be awesome, but hard to get used to the lack of wind protection...

Whats the weight and power output ,that bike looks nice. I saw a hayabusa from a stunt guy and thought it was cool, the other bike I had seen before is a ZX7 with the headlight assembly almost identical to the one on this 12.

I've wanted a naked bike for the longest, it wouldn't be too hard to make my current 12 into a nice one.

As far as ram-air, they could just make some snorkels Triumph Speed4 style.

I guess that could be true BA... there's not much to a streetfight other than that... guess we'll have to wait for 06 to find out if they change much more... seems to be nothing more than a "parts bin bike".... gearing and brakes seemed to be a little different..

I wish this post was true.............the Z1000 is missing HP and torque as far as im concerned. But, I don't envision Kawasaki making a naked ZX12.A while back over at the ZRXOA I proposed to kaw that a Z1200 be built.Basically same as Z1000 ,but with ZX12 motor tuned for 100lbs torque and still about 150RWHP.Loose the ugly 4 pipe exhaust and use the euro fairing.Heck,I'd even settle for a ZRX with more HP and EFI.

Everytime I find one it has low wattage bulbs, held on with rubber straps, or built cheap with an expensive price.

this is true. this is one of the better options i've seen in terms of wattage and apparent quality

eventually i hope to mount a proper HID projector unit to the front, tho it probably wont look too pretty, thx to the depth of such units. for now i have some tiny 35W fog lights. they get the job done but not well.
