RIP.

for those headed to the gap trip in september, this is the second biggest 'crash' time of the season. (as far as keeping tally on forums like this one and several others)

we seem to have a rash of crashes towards end of summer, when riders have been riding all summer and feel VERY confident and comfortable with their riding.

and they push a little harder, and s**t happens. inthe last 3 weeks i have read of no less than 20 crashes on the 1800 member yzf forum. and a few here.

every year it is the same.

so everyone do a little mental review and try to remember that OVERconfidence can be just as dangerous as ineptitude.

(BTW the third rash of crashes per season seems to be late september early october, depending on when autumn starts in your part of the world. at that point the temps are a bit lower and sunlight doesn't warm road quite like it did midsummer, and the summertime lean angles and traction just aren't there.... 1st is spring, for obvious reasons)

Thoughts and prayers go out to the family and friends. To those of us left behind, ride smart. ride safe.
