PC111R question

Yea I am still toying with maps before I spend the big bucks. Got a lap top and loaded a new map in that seems to work much better but I was wondering if it is possible to load a fuel and ignition map seperatly. You no combine say muzzys ignition map with someone elses fuel map. Thanks for any ideas.

You can also copy the fuel portion of one map and paste it on top of the fuel portion of the other map (with the good timing #'s you want), or vice versa using windows copy and paste functions. You can also use this method to paste only a portion of one map onto another map as well. Very handy!!

Cool! Do I get the fuel table up that I want and click upload instead of upload all? If not school me please. I wish I was good with computers. Thanks

There is an option to "upload current", which should only upload the map data that is currently displayed. If I can offer a piece of advise: I personally think doing the map upload in that way is not the best. I would copy and paste the desired data from one map to the other, and then take the time to fill in the notes section to ensure that if you make a change that you don't like, you can go back. I also always save test maps as version "X" (zx12r_muzzy_k+n_test1....as an example) so that any change made is easily undoable. You may remember today that you added 5 points of fuel at 20% throttle and 3000 rpm, but will you remember next week... when you find that you didn't like the change after all? It's the same as tuning a carburetor...keep notes in a log so that you know where you are at next week/month/year. Keep in mind that going the wrong way (adding fuel when you actually needed to take fuel away) is still information and is helpful (sometimes it is difficult to feel whether a particular rpm range is rich or lean without a sniffer.....and making the problem worse is still helpful...now you know you have to go the other way). When you road test and it is better or worse than it was in the desired area of throttle opening and rpm.....you now have the feedback to your change....AND if you have good notes, you can continue to tune based on that change.

I figured it out. I am not going to mess with the existing maps much other then to try and smooth out the bottom between 1000 and 3000. I am just playing right now with the maps I found on the internet. Dynojets site sucks, it only has a couple to chose from for the muzzy but zx12.org had about 6. So I am playing with diff. combinations and I thing the one that works best is the muzzy "race" map with altered timing for the 3r. I still might fit the bill for the custom map.
