Café Veloce - Fri Aug 20 - 7:00pm - Kirkland, WA

Hey anyone who can make it...meeting at Café Veloce in Kirkland, WA on Friday, August 20 at 7:00pm...

Will be meeting up with up fellow riders, including the Pacific Northwest Road Riders Group (how's that for a name haha) and some others, including from this board.

Swft? Necro? Niuhi? Anyone else? What about all you Canadians way up there?

Oh yah, piece o cake for me. Should be no sweat for the other guys too. You know, I'm thinking of a trip as well. Want to make it to CA, but do it on nothing but secondary US Highways. Kinda 'life before the interstate' trip, and do it inland to avoid the coastal highway slog. Thinking of taking 2 over to 95 and then going down to CA via ID and NV...

Hmmmmmm......a night ride back home would be different!! I've also been meaning to make it down there for the Wednesday (?) night meetings at Teddys Tavern. I hear they get up to 200 bikes of all kinds and vintage.

If that's the case, I can possibly make it. I may try and take the bike to work and leave from there if I'm not super pitted out .

Is there a way I can get there and avoid the mess that's known as I-5?

Come down from the north and then head east and somehow get into Kirkland??

Bill - If you cross over at Abbotsford, that would put you on Hwy 9. You could take that south all the way to Woodinville, then it's a couple miles surface streets to Kirkland.

Dirty, I'm a thinking out loud here but...

I could meet ya at Sumas for 5 pm, if we catch SWFT on the other side to guide the way, and you promise to have me home by midnight or around there.... I think I can join ya and then we can come back together..

Let me know and I'll check into a kitchen pass for the night

I am bringing my bike, but we planned to eat, talk, hang out...no ride was planned. Just be a cool place to kick it like the World Cup.

Wow, we rode 900 miles in one day, left at 9am yesterday morning and arrived into Seattle at 1am this early morning. Slept good last night...

Hey, good news! I just found out there is a 10% discount if you ride in on your motorcycle...

Also, in addition to the PNWRoad Riders Group, riders from the WSU Motorcycle Club are expected to show as well.

Hopin' for a good turnout. Hope to see you Niuhi, Dirtybill, and silverd as well!

I know there are a couple board members from the Tacoma area, just dont remember there names...

I've just got to clear it with the Missus. She was talking about me picking her up at the Toyota shop on Friday after she drops her car off for service.

It shouldnt be too hard to work around. We can find it swft, but if you wanna come up, no problemo. I'm only going to run 10psi in my tires so I wont get nailed for speeding again.

Right on. I can show you the best route west from here. The only bad part is the high elevation. Our bike are a WHOLE lot slower way up here in the clouds.
