Question: Gonna get a Silver ZX12 & then a Mechanic said he'd

..... Rather get a Hayabusa because its Smoother thru the gears,
doesn't Vibrate as much, and the Torque the Busa has Leaves the
ZX12 in the dust -- said at the Drag Strip the busa manhandles
the ZX12......I asked him whats "Better"about the ZX12 " oh the ZX12 handles
better". Is this Bull-Shit?

I rode my buddy's busa and I dont know maybe I could get used to it, but it did not seem all that great, now he put a full micron on it and some big cams. and now it pulls like my 12 that just has a pipe! I like the way it runs now but, stock no comparo! he even said my bike in 2nd pulls like a freight train he said he just cant believe how hard it pulls! so there you go.

The 2000 & 2001 Lowend Power is the same ....

The 2000 & 2001 Lowend Power is the same ....its the topend final MPH that differs that a
Bonneville Box can change...

I like the seat on the ZX12 -- I felt strange on the BUSA....I figured he favored Busas,
but wanted to get the Rider opinion before I buy it Saturday.

...buy what appeals TO YOU and TO YOU ONLY...buy what makes YOU happy...unless you're some kind of SUPER-PRO with...uh...certain "SKILLS and TALENT" within your riding ability that brings home the bacon on either bike, buy the one that truely appeals to you and just enjoy it....I ride and enjoy my 12R and I like Busas, too!...my .02 cents...

I ride Both!!!

The Busa's low end grunt is a little more than the ZX12R. Busa does feel bulkier to ride. By that I mean that you feel like your riding more of a bike than the ZX12R. Busa Handling is about the same when you compare them one right after another. I would have to say that the ZX12R does better on the curves but I think that is because it feels more nimble and rider confidence is higher! The Busa does feel more planted at the track. The ZX12R is better looking (That's for sure) and the ZX12R has better ergo's but a hard ass seat!

The Busa does have a better fit and finish than the '00'/'01' ZX12R. Much better fasteners and easier to disassemble than the ZX12R.

Both bikes are awesome for power and as far as kicking butt....That depend's on the rider. My suggestion is go look and sit on both and get the one that YOU like.

I have to say!!

The vibration part is correct....The Busa is a little smoother....but unless you ride both....you'll never notice it!!!

Lower both bikes, pipe em,gear-em(4up or better),take them to the strip, the 12's will mostly have 4 to 6 mph on the busa by the end of the 1/4,the short times are up to the rider, put a 1390 in the busa and race the same 12(without motor mods)and you will only match it's mph. These are facts, which I have seen time and again here in Texas, but ZX-12 Girl did make a busa pull some zx-12 like mph,but over all,the 12 more then has the mph advantage.
