Anyone want the 2004 new radial brakes

The 2004 forks with the new mounts.
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&tc=photo&rd=1&item=2484046171&category=35592#ebayphotohosting

the new 2004 cailpers and all the hardware.
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&tc=photo&rd=1&item=2484050850&category=35592

on ebay 1day 15hrs left all for $200 right now.
I didn't see the 04 rotors though which are a little differnt the old style are 2.0 and the 04 are 2.5 I think.

NEW FOR 2004
Braking is accomplished with new radial-mounted, opposed four-piston calipers gripping large 320mm diameter dual front disc brakes and a single 230mm rear disc brake. First introduced on Kawasaki's own NINJA ZX-6R and ZX-6RR sportbikes, the radial front brake design utilizes mounting points at both the top and bottom of the caliper, with the mounting bolts inserted through the rear of the caliper instead of the side or front as on conventional designs. This racing-inspired setup makes the caliper more rigid to improve brake feel over a wider range of operation.

I would love to make that mod to my bike, I love the radial brakes on my 03 ZX6RR....they are great......I think it would be a very worthwhile investment in a 12.....

If I didnt buy the AP brakes I would have considered it.

Im sure Galfer or EBC has replacement rotors you could purchase.

I will wait until the fever goes way...for the radial brakes and see others so the swap and see if there is any advantage over a good set of pads and SS lines.

Marcos, the radail brake are better just be design alone, the discs are smaller therfore lighter...less rotating mass is always better, that is why rotor manufactureres are always drilling and lightening their products.....not to mention the mounting of the caliper, gives less flex and more feel....trust me, Ihave a 600 with stainless lines and EBC pads, and a 600 with Radial brakes and stainless lines with the same pads and the same brake fluid.....there is no comparison...the radial brake feel better and fade much less than the standard design....

I think that you can change the bottom part of the forks and solve the problem.
Well you have to think about the new rotors that you will have to put.

this is a very informative article, It explains the concepts in braking and mechanics of it well. I can see the points made in the article. All I can say is ride the 2 bikes, one with Radial moutned calipers,a dnone without.....anyone that has ridden a bike with them, loved them....

I realy have the radial brakes 04, in my list for upgrades not for the brake performance stuff, for the better turn in advantage.
I imagine 2 that the 04 forks are better than the 2000 model.
at the moment Im putting ss lines, and already have galfer brake pads.

Your welcome Wilson, It is a good deal for someone that wants the upgrade goodluck hope you get them keep in mind you will need the 04 rotors because they are different than your 03 rotors .
You should be able to find them on ebay cheap the cost of new ones from the dealer are wow, $289.08 ea.
If you get them ask the guy if he has the rotors or just wait you don't need to hurry you have new 03 brakes for now.
I had the 03 and I was pissed when they did the new mods for the 04 the most of all was the new sub throttle bodies to stop the hesitation but it all worked out and now I got the 04 it cost me a $2000 though but I did get a good 6000miles out of the 03.

Lets wait more time, then the 04 parts will be more cheaper, this mood will cost aprox 400-500 USD.

You're still gonna need the wheel and rotors.
Figure a set of Wave rotors, braided lines, fork service, springs, valving, and pads would set you back $1000 on earlier model 12.
