Balancer dampers...

Has anyone tried a different rubber or plastic on the counter balancer dampers?

The crankshaft vibration damper has cush drives much like the rear wheel.

No but...I did just remove the balancer from a ZRX.
Balanced the crank and installed Carrillo rods.
The rods where balanced 10 times better than the stock rods ...

I rode the bike at Gainesville yesturday...it felt GOOD...no times though, they had a major timing system malfunction... 10 dollars to make "flag start" runs...it was FUN...

It should be worth a little power to remove it but I was wondering about the added vibes.

I didn't get to ride Dean's ZRX "slow" accept for on the return road the one time...
Felt smooth to me though.
I think if you balance the crank, rods, pistons when removing the balancer...the motor will still be pretty smooth...
I would do it to the 1361 motor that I'm building right now accept that...it's going to be more power than the owner can use as it is
