In my opinion, its all inclusive. In my opinion norm was the genesis of this 'group rant' and why some members are pissed off at him. It happened at .org and its happening here. Yeah, it was me who immediately responded to his stupid '.org moderator goes down' thread because I thought his shit wasn't right and that he didn't have to bring his garbage to this site. And it appears that most members who have commented on this 'group rant' about norm are on the same page about this guy. Hmmmm...must mean something.
Yeah, I agree...something productive needs to develope from all of this...some people need to act right around here, even if cyber-dog-piling isn't exactly 'right' (but we're just trying to convey a message to the offender)...shit on the members and what this site means to some of us and you get dog-piled (childish or not) until you act right...or you leave...let's see if it happens.

Dear biatches....
fish I will be sending you my contact number. I know it isn't gonna do a bit of good, but I'm tired of typing.
sherm, you read way too deep into most things, and some things you don't look into deep enough.
At this point I could really care less and have very little respect for the powers that "Be" around here. Maybe when I have time to really cool off it'll somehow all make sense to me.

Now that Norm isn't endangering anyone but his liver in front of that computer screen... I think the whole thing is hilarious.
Thankfully, no one got hurt.... and because of that, I can laugh at all this without feeling guilty. I got a feeling we'll be laughing over this stuff alot at DGVIII. I can hear the beer cans and koozies whizzing through the air now...

EXACTLY where were these posts concerning riders going down or should go down? Again, I ask someone to please send me a link from THIS FORUM!
From what has been told to me by some of the very people that are posting here is that...
1. The offending statements were made on Bikeland.
No one has yet to send me a link from this forum and say that it was the one that went way over the line.
2. Sailing beer cans at an event a month ago sounds like something that should have been addressed there.

3. Ya'll seem to think that Norm is a peice of shit

4. Even after years of explianing what I can and can not do on this forum (and only this forum) as Moderator, some long time members still act like it is my "house".
It's not. I'm as much of a guest as the rest of you. At best, I'm just the maid.
After THIRTY SIX posts of what could be viewed as calling Norm out, he replies. Did anyone really expect him not to?
Okay, lets just say that it is my house. Here's how I see it. It seems that shit was started somewhere else. Long standing members chose to bring their (not mine) piece of shit into my "house", instead of dealing with it where it all started.
So now, even though I'm just the maid here, ya'll get all pissy because I won't take out the very garbage you brought into my "house"? Sure, he's posted on this forum as well, but from what all of you have said, the "issues" you have did not start or fester here. It took 36 posts by others to bring it here. Norm had nothing to do with that.
What the hell do you expect me to do with the very garbage YOU chose to bring from a different forum to this one? Let me clue ya'll in on something... I'm not the forum's garbageman when any member, long standing or not, starts shit here about another member and get's upset when the member in question replies.
Some might read more into what I type while other might not read any of it at all. Your choice. To make it simple, ya'll chose to bring this shit into this forum and ya'll can deal with it. To me, it seems that you have already started to do just that. That is until ya'll started making calls out to me, "demanding" I do something about it.
Respect is something earned not requested. I am honored and thankful to those that have told me that the do hold some level of respect towards me. If I lose the respect of some or all of the membership because of my stand on this, so be it. I'll always be true to myself and what I stand for before I worry about how other view me.
Any "issues" members might have with fish concerning this is between you and him. Again, this is not MY website.

Actually this is all a direct result of Norm saying that he hoped Bart crashed hard this summer. If that would have never happened it would have all been dead and buried. We dealt with it at DGVII and were very generous IMHO when you consider his childish behavior. He was "Oh so humble" there but he put on another mask as soon as he got back home and started posting. It doesn't matter anyway because what is done is done, and trying to get a point across on this forum is becoming a moot point.

to confirm what redelk has posted, only fish_antlers & I have the power to ban members. i have only used that power once, on someone who must have been clinically psychotic.
to all those getting up in arms over the norm saga, it has been said before and i'll say it too: it only goes on as long as u respond. if you enjoy the mud-slinging fest, then by all means have fun. if you don't like it, just don't take part.
an ignore button is something i definitely want to add (i'v used it to good effect on another forum), but 16 hours a day of work, 6 hours a night of sleep, no money, no vehicle (including no bike), doesnt exactly help me get that kinda thing done, especially when it's gonna take a full day to do it at the very least. but it'll come, donchu worry.

I am so frustrated at the recent events here at this forum. The above post is fueled by a mixture of things, and I normal circumstances I wouldn't make it, at least I wouldn't have been serious about it. It seems that a bad apple has messed up most everyone's good time, which is what they tend to do. I'm through discussing the matter and hope that sometime in the very near future this is something we can all laugh about.
