...I didn't read anything in jonwright's posts where he's asking for a fight...yet, here's norm, YET AGAIN, challenging someone on the internet to a fight as he's done so many times before  ...smack-talk is one thing...this guy does things to provoke fights in person and even wants to take it to the internet...the internet and some of the people commenting on these "norm" thread ARE real...do'ya' get it fish?...
...I've been in my line of work long enough and have seen and experienced enough violence to know where violence comes from, even here on the internet...yeah, some of us have never met norm in person, but we've 'met' him here...its like the old saying: I don't have to put my hand on the flame to know that its hot,just looking at it tells me that its hot...blurred lines of fact and fiction?..I say that you have some real people here telling it like it is, but the only ones who are making sense apeear to be sober...

You are correct Worm. Those of us that have had the unfortunate experience of meeting Norm can attest that he is a mental case. Smacktalk is one thing, but this guy has a dark side and I truly believe he is capable of some really bad things. There are plenty of guys here that know me, and I am going to tell it like it is, and I won't say it unless I feel strongly about it. If you don't believe me fish, just ask Sherman. He'll tell you that I am as straight shooting in person as I am on this forum, so will all the other guys. Why you would want to allow a guy, who has openly wished for another member to crash, to remain a member here is beyond me. I have been a member here for a long time, I even came up with the name for this place, (Zone) and I've never said anyone should be banned, but I am now. A lot of longtime members that are respected and well liked by everyone feel the same way as I do.
It is not an isolated incident either. Look at his past over on .org. He sent threatening emails to members and caused a ton of shit over there as well. Why the fuck do you want that shit over here? Do you get off on seeing all us other members getting pissed about it. Is it just because you want to be an ass instead of doing the right thing? You and Sherman need to really look hard at what us members that have been regulars on this board for YEARS are saying. Go with the majority instead of being a goddamned couple of hard headed blindfold wearing motherfuckers.
And fish, don't reply some horseshit to just throw gas on the fire. Man up motherfucker and gain some respect from members of YOUR board, quit actin' like a bitch.

...for the record, I'm not for banning anyone unless they maliciously and continously violate the TOS...all kidding and smack-talk aside....I just prefer that people 'act right' at this site...if you've got a beef or even an ax to grind (as in my case with this idiot) its ok to to state your thoughts about it, hell, have fun with it even...but its not ok to call someone out even with inferred violence or what you're capable of doing to another human being...hell, WE ALL know what we'd like to do and some of us ARE capable of doing whatever it is and going to bed for a good night's sleep...no doubt!...but there's bullshit and then there's real...I know bullshit when I see it...I know real all to well...

hey ninja... fuck off... no one is "acting like a bitch here" except a bunch of whining ladies who are pissed off that someone is post whoring more than they are.. all of the admins have been following this post saga from the beginning (that would be back on Dale's site)... and so far we dont see the need to do anything other than let our current model of allowing this site to "police itself" continue.
I'm not sure how you figure I'm acting like a "bitch" and losing respect from members on this one. We've always felt strongly that people should have free speech. I also feel very strongly the the strength of this site lies in it's members and their ability to deal with people like outlaw.
So what do you want me to do? Electronically neuter outlaw "dale hughes style" by banning him? editing his posts? perhaps then we should continue onwards and I'll edit yours too ... gee I dont like what you said in your post about me.... I'll just edit everything you say .

I have much respect for Worm and Rick but I'm personally undecided myself as to whether this whole banning thing should be done or not in regards to Norm.
But I have it under rumor that you've wanted folks banned for less than what Norm has done.
Would that rumor be true, Fishy?

I can not speak for fish, but I think most know me well enough, both through my involvement with this forum and in person, that I do not "get off" over members getting pissed over anything.
A couple of points of clarification is in order here.
1. I am a Moderator of this and only this forum. I have no more control than any other regular member over comments made on any other forum on this website.
2. The ability to "ban" any individual from these forums rest solely with the administrators of this website. My suggesting to them that someone be banned carries no more weight that if that request was to come from any other long standing member.
3. I can, on this forum only, delete or edit any post or complete threads within this forum.
4. His conduct at DG VII or comments on other forums does not and can not have any influence on how I moderate this forum. Stupid, non-life threatening comments on THIS forum does not warrant me taking any action.
Having said that, I will no deny that both his conduct and comments elsewhere prove him to be an obvious asshole and offers no positive input for this or any other forum or event. I found his comments on Bikeland to be extremely offensive and if I were the moererator of that forum, I would have likely deleted or at at least edited some of his comments.
Alas, I am not and considering the guidelines of the two forums, his comments are not that out of line for Bikeland, even though they would be totally unacceptable here. Thus the difference in the two forums and the reason I moderate this forum and not Bikeland.
I don't always agree with the opinions of members or even administrators on this forum. I also might take offense to comments made towards me by some here, but I do not edit or delete them because I "get off" flexing my "powers" here. Being both swampped at work and with the race team, I do not have time to read every post on every thead in this forum. I sure as hell don't have time to read the posts or threads on a different forum that I have little interest in nor seldom visit (i.e. Bikeland)
The bottom line is that the policies that this forum has is no different then they were when this forum started. If someone can point out to me where any member has crossed the line ON THIS FORUM, I will gladly address it in a manner I see fit. Either something productive develops out of this childish group rant (BTW - which Norm did NOT start) real soon or I'll either start having my own personal type of fun by editing everyone's posts to something more to my liking or I'll take some other form "correction" I consider the thread's content warrants.
