Raking a 2001 12 Doug how much?

Doug I am having the bike Kawi gave me raked and wondered what is reasonable 2 inches? Any help would be appreciated, I just picked up this one and I want to make it a bit different than the 2001 they gave me last year. Hopefully it will be ready for Gainsville.

King,
That is a MAJOR ordeal. But we've done two of them now, and finish align the frames on a Laser surface plate. Would you like us to quote you on the job? It would be simple for you to UPS the frame to us.

major ordeal

Hey Doug:

Yes I realize that this is a one time to get it right or throw away the frame deal. The machine shop has the frame table and the alignment laser at his disposal. He is a reputable person as yourself and has been doing it for just shy of 50 years, I hope he is around long enough to finish hee hee.

I know there are not to many of these bikes done this way the two you did are likely the only ones. Any way is 2 inches reasonable or did you have a different number? I hope to have it ready for Florida but will be there with the other bike if it is not ready, talk to you soon.

Hey Doug just curious please don't take offence to this, if I don't send my frame to you does that mean I don't get an answer on the rake question or the price if you do it? Just asking no offence man.

hey wayne,

try anywhere between 4-5 degrees of rake...that gives good stability on drag oem chasis...

Sorry Wayne,
That wasn't the silent treatment, that was the "I'm busy and I need to get the correct information before I answer you treatment". Anyway, dwayne is right 4-6 degrees should do 'ya.

Wayne,
We've decided not to do the rake with a frame modification again. Just too much work. We will be making a set of raked triple clamps, however (5 deg.). They will be available in about 60 days.
