Got Flow???

Wasn't sure if you could tell or not but they tell me this puppy has been ported!

BY THE WAY, I seem to have a circlip in the bin of engine assemply stuff from the engine assembler. It's about the size for you thumb to fit through.
Anyone have any idea where this goes on the bike, or IF it goes on the bike!

The clip sounds like a wrist pin clip. I sure hope that it was a spare (that's why it's a good idea to count everything before and after surgery).

It looks like at the very least the ports have been matched.

IF that circlip is for that engine , you're in for a world of pain.
It will allow the wrist pin to destroy the cyclinder wall. If you had a 1270/1375 installed then it may be a extra from the old pistons. good luck.

thanks for the tip on the circlip possibility canadamaxxer.

luckily, if it does end up in engine failure I know that *I* won't be paying for it!!!

Thank god for that!!! As an experienced engine builder, I can remember that sick feeling in my stomach when I thought I forgot to put something in....then felt a huge sigh of relief when I recounted and relized that I was ok.....

does it have the holes in the ends like a real circlip? or is it just wire?

Well, I'm looking at it right now, there are not those holes in the end.

It's basically a round wire. (guess I didn't know my circlips very well, eh?)

it just fits around my middle finger. I'm HOPING it's an old part from the tear-down.
