Oil pressure problem.

My bike got knocked over on to its left side in a parking lot last week. The ignition cover was cracked and it lost some oil. Last night I got the parts and replaced the cover but now the oil light wont go out and the oil level is good. Any ideas?
Thanks
Terry

try priming the oil filter and pump.Seems to me,I heard some guys writing about the same thing from an oil change. If it fell on the ignition side then the filter was up in the air and might have gotten air bound.

Shes OK. When it fell it must have uncovered the oil pick-up. I primed it and its good to go. Thanks for the help.
