Canadian Bikes

Hey all,

Been a long time since I posted here due to the fact that I sold my ZX12R a little over a year ago and do miss it quite a bit. Went to the dark side and bought a Harley (self preservation) but, I do have a question. Does anyone have the phone number or any info for that matter on the dealership in Canada that sells Kawasaki's to us guys in the states. My friend bought a new 2001 GSXR 1000 and had a great experience not to mention the deal, but I lost contact with him! Any help is appreciated.

Thanks,

Tony

wait.....self preservation, and you bought a harley??

i guess the excercise from frequent walking may well keep you healthy ;P

so seriously, what made the harley a better choice than a zx12? (besides having 1/125 of the power....and 50x the weight?)

I could not control myself and my throttle hand. Had WAY to many close calls and was hard riding the wife around. But,,,,I must say this! There's not a day that goes bye that I don't miss the green monster. If I could have afforded the insurance then I would have kept them both. Ft. Bragg, NC (Fayetteville) is a little tough when it comes to bikes and the cost to insure them. Lots of adrenaline and type A personalities here!!!! :-)

Yeah, I just looked yesterday....The 12R was $15,599.00 and the 10R was $14,599. All in Canadian dollars. Just so you US guys know...I have seen 3 or 4 10R's sitting on various showroom floors in Alberta. Come up to Canada and take advantage of your stronger US dollar. In addition...parts prices (full retail) in Canadian funds are often very close to the online prices in US dollars. You guys might find an advantage to buying parts from north of the fence and having them shipped.

I thought all 3 10R's imported to Canada were pre sold and there are no 10R's for sale in the whole nation

hey iflyguns, I woudl believe it, I worked guys from the 509th over in the desert, adn a few of the other airborne units, along with the FBI and a few CIA guys when the war kicked off....but of all of them the SF guys were the best to work with, they dont follow typical army regs, and do their own thing, their main concern is getting the job done, and they dont let red tape and politicians dictate how, man was that a learning process.....lol But I am glad I am no longer over there, its time for the other guys to have their luck at it over there.....later

I have the 04 zx012r american specs, but I love that black color that's offered in Canada. HDL, is it pretty expensive to get the black plastics for my bike from Canada? I would love to switch up now and then.

craig, couldn't you get the part #'s for the black plastic and order it through your dealer? When I had to replace plastic (someone knocked it over in a parking lot), it had to come from Japan anyway.
