Frame Sliders for the 12

I know frame sliders prolly wont save anything on the 12 due to its frame, but has anyone tried out the Protekk frame sliders for the 12?

I havent use those particular sliders Beans, but Ihad a set of regular slider on it at one time, and I will NOT put them back on....check out pics of Luckys bike that were posted, he modified some R1 frame sliders and put them on his bike, they look sweet.....

when the bike fell over in the rode(wife was riding, I know, big mistake) the slider punched a hole in the fairing and caused more damage than would have happened with out a slider at all....the mounting location just isnt strong enough to put a slider there.....Lucky's bike has some neat mounting locations, much more practicle...

Those sliders are NO GOOD...

They replace the top fairing bolt onto the frame and if you go down all that happens is it gets ripped out and now you have no way of attaching the new body work to the frame!!!

The only sliders that should be used are the ones that bolt into the motor mounts!!!

I agree with you CR.....tha tis what happened to my 12 when it went down....put a set throught the motormounts and on the swingarm pivot like Lucky did to protect the Clutch cover if it goes down......
