plugs and valves
hey guys... My buddy that picked up my bike is going to set the valves and slap a bank of plugs in it for me... From looking at it hes afraid the engine needs to come down...
Any tips or tricks?? Any recomendations on the plugs?

You do not need to take down your engine to change plugs, just use your OEM spark plug tool.
And the valves can be checked with the engine installed.

I know that it looks scary and really tight under there but, once you get the plastic tray out from on top of the engine the OEM plug tool that is in the tool bag will do a fine job. The tray comes out a lot easier than it looks like. Also the valves are no problem to check or adjust in the bike. You will probably have to take your feeler guage set appart and use them one at a time. That is all. I was very impressed with how easy the 12 is to work on once I dove in. It looks bad at first but they designed it with enough room to work on her.

hmmmmm..... i don't know about that...
I agree that the gas cap is easier to get at than a V-Max; adding air to the tires is OK, but doing work on the motor is a pure PITA.
