Hey zx9r I hear you. You know I never had to pay as much as you've been quoted but I have a 2001 Busa and my insurance went up 27% this year. I too have no accidents or tickets (knock on wood) but my insurance wanted me to pay $870.00 for the year. Get this that's with no collision and the insurance company wanted full payment within 3 monthly payments.
Listen I found a company that insures motorcycles, you can get a quote directly off the Web and my insurance went down to $690.00 with full collision. Check out the following link and see what they can do for ya.

I was with Progressive for the last 4 months
on my leased ( 100/300 ) truck, van AND my ZX 12R....
I was , well, let just say "getting violated"...
I am a homeowner, good credit, driving record,
35, married.....yet they wanted $ 135 a month
JUST on the bike!!!!!!!!!
I did some research, and found CountryFinancial
will do the 12R for about $60 a month, same coverage.
I live in Arizona, which is , I believe, the 2nd
highest in the country for ins. rates.
The point here is who NOT to go with....starts with a "P"....

I pay $1200 a year for my 12 and $400 a year for my ZRX. Both with State Farm along with my auto insurance. I feel I'm getting screwed but I've yet to find it cheaper. 38, no tickets, single.
