Over the hill Well i will be 39 in five days, and me and the 0012r have 20,000 miles between us, most of the sportbike guys here are buying cruisers, just for sunday afternoons,i laughted at them and said i will get one when i am 60 or so,well i was wrong, test drove a meanstreak sat, liked it,AND BOUGHT IT, uh,the 12 is gonna get plenty of rest now, does this mean i am (over the hill)? no pun intended Vinny.

Since I just turned 57 a few days ago, I speak from experience.
Yes, you are over the hill. But on the other side of the hill are many great roads to ride, and perhaps the financial ability to own more than one bike. A Mean Streak is a great bike, and with a ZX12R you now have the best of at least two worlds!

After riding the Mean Streak and the VN2K back to back, I definately would be looking at a mean streak. Fun bike, and all the better with the added displacement. ____________

Well I am over 60 and at Gainesville, Kawasaki and Rickey let me ride all of their bikes. I guess I am just not ready for that type of ride. The lazy steering (Going fast) and heavy steering (going slow) laid back position, I liked NONE OF IT! I am still waiting to Grow UP, just not there yet!

Why don't ya just buy a Harley ya poser............. I'm 55 going on 56 and ain't going cruiser anytime soon...!!!

Just bustin yo balls Kawpower! Happy cruisin to you.. I would probably look at a cruiser if I had plenty dough.. My 12R was a trade in on a 2000cc 04 Vulcan by a 61 year old guy... 39 is still young.. It's all relative.. Mr Bill

I'm pushing 56 and the day I turned 39 was when I started getting up to pee in the middle of the night . Enjoy your last 5 days of youth!

Actually, you can be called "Young" until you reach 50. Then you never want to be called "Young" because the only way it it used then is "How old was he when he died? He was 57! Oh, he was still young yet! (So only in death are you young at over 50 years old. At my age, all they say is "He lived a pretty good life" ____________

If your over the hill at 39 I must be reaching the crest in june I'll be 34. I like sportbikes, but after riding a Harley last summer I liked it alot! I really want a Chopper now, but after sitting on a ZX10 I realized that if I do continue riding sportbikes I have to get something lighter (Like a 10)

The "Smartest" Harley rider / owner I know has a very large garage. In the winter time, he rides it around in the Garage. That way, when it breaks down, he is "Already" Home!
The difference between a Motorcycle and a Harley is "On the Motorcycle, you ride past the Roses. With a Harley, be prepared to spend time with them! I am not going to say that I would never own a Harley, but it would have to have a "Sir" Name like Buell or V-Rod before I would even throw a leg over it!. With all of the vibration, I know why Women like it, but for the life of me, I cannot understand why a man would! After all, when you get off the bike and she is ready and you cannot even find your stuff (Because it has all gone to sleep and has no feeling), you cannot do anything!

I turn 26 this August...I just dont have the energy and stamina I had when I was 19....I am past the hill and spiraling downward fast!
