I've always preferred a cable clutch.

No doubt - Hydraulic. Arm pump savior. Consistent feel. Maintance is changing fluid/bleeding them. No cables to break or maintain. No contest.

I prefer Cable clutch...

I cant give a technical explanation, just going by how it feels when DragRacing...IE; Busa clutch engagement compared to ZX12...

CABLE!!!!!!

Cable all the way. Mainly because you get a better "feel" for what's going on with the clutch. I also think it is a simple set-up from a mechanical standpoint too.

Hydraulic on the street. Cable on the track.
The hydraulic is smooth, maintenance free, reliable without maintenance, and does the job perfectly.
The cable is light, comes apart quickly and cleanly and offers an easily adjusted free play/lever position.

Cabel! I always like to feel my cable! Way better! I hated hydraulic clutches on the few bikes that I owned which had them.

Ditto.

I loved the hydraulic clutch on my '86 Ninja 1000R, but I only rode that on the street. Now that I dragrace my 12, I would hate to have a cable clutch. The freeplay adjustment alone is crucial to adjusting my reaction times.

in agreement w/all above (hyd. street, cable track), but have always liked the "feel" of a cable better for everything.

I have always prefered cable but I HAVE gotten used to the Hyd. that is on my TurboZRX...
Still not getting "good" 60Fts but...that isn't the clutches fault...
I thought I would have to convert my ZRX to cable to be happy (on the track) but now...I'm sure I will leave it...
As usual...Doug is right on all acounts...
Cable=EASY to work on...
Hydraulic=smoooth...
