Fastest Zx-12 record?
Does anyone know what the fastest Maxton or Bonneville record is on a ZX-12? Turbo or Nitrous, all motor etc?

JimO holds one at Bonneville with a 214.309. Modified Partial Streamliner/ Fuel 1350cc

I believe 209MPH is the record on nitrous for a 12R. And 207.x for N/A.
Those will be broken this year.

I think my 203.444 is still the fastest ZX-12 1350 gas, naturally aspirated on the salt.
I think my 192 at maxton is probably the fastest "officially timed" run on for a red one on gas with a stock exhaust during a month of June

Hey Don,
Chad's new RR came in yesterday so he's gonna be working on it everyday until Atlanta in two weeks so he was going to miss Maxton. Now Zack had to cancel out because the 1361 that he rode last October to 207+ at Maxton came apart on the dyno yesterday. They were getting it ready for next week-end and something deep like a rod bearing has been damaged so none of us will be heading to the Monster Mile this trip.....BUMMER!!!!
Good luck, go fast and have a blast. Maybe we can get together next time.

damn! thats the same thing that happened to me, lost the engine on the dyno the week before maxton! better on the dyno than in the standing mile!!!

Bergie,
It's was a carbon copy of your experience, they made like three pulls and it lost hp each run so they shut it down.
Tim's upbeat about it, like you said better on the dyno than at the finish line. He said it's coming back bigger and faster....woo-hoo!

Funny, this also happened to Guy's Busa on a Dyno in Toledo Ohio. The Dyno used to be an engine puker. Are they making a come Back?
