Triumph Daytona 955
Ok i know this is 12r board, and respect that and all your opinions, So i am asking if anyone knows anything about 02 triumph 955's, or an opinion on them? I have a buddy who needs some quick $$$$$$$$ and wants to sell me a red one with 2500 miles on it for $5500.00. I have only taken around the block and it seems like a nice bike with a strange sound(3cyl). Bust my balls if you like.

They sure sound different alright! Dyno'd one last summer. Didya check the price in Kelly's, or even call a dealer and see what they'd give ya for it?

the price seems in line for the shape its in, still under warranty, just curious if anyone has an opinion of the bike itself? I understand its rated at 147 hp which is decent power for 362 lbs. I am told its a discounted ducati. What do u think?

I sure don't recall one making that kind of hp...Maybe at the crank? And I never rode one, cept on the dyno

They make around 125-129 rear wheel hp and weigh alot more than 362 lbs. I'd like to get an 02-present 955i, I've always liked them. Check on the price with Kelleys like someone said, sounds like a good deal to me. If I had the cash I'd buy it.

They weigh 486 pounds with a full tank of gas, about 60 lbs lighter than a stock 12.
