Well I've been following this. Eat-My-Meat has to be Maverick or a Busa Guy. I wasn't going to go for the hook, but there is NO WAY to turn those handlebars without bending something.
Red, Harry, shame on you guys for biting that hook.

Bent front

I once had an H-2 and had the same thing happen to it...I hit the front wheel only with my car. The steering was cockeyed from that moment on. I could sit on the bike and get next to something solid and using the handlebars, hit it against the object to make the front tire straight with the handlbars. Every time I rode, I would have to do this to align the front. I suspect the problem was a twisted triple tree or axel or forks.....exactly what...I don't know. Back then I stayed drunk 24/7 and was unable to care enough to fix the problem.

BENT FRONT END

Back in 1985 I had a 84-1100GPZ, and after two weeks of loving it, some schmuck tried his parallel parking skills out on my front tire. Twisted my front end 10 degrees out of whack also, I had to twist my wheel back into place between my knees like a ten speed bike because I was over the border in Juarez mexico and I didnt know what else to do.
I had that bike quite a while after that and never noticed any ill handling problems.
Luckily i bought the extended warranty also because when I had my crank sent to Falicon for welding and balancing, the shop in El-paso replaced the 5th gear bearing which has an offset oil supply hole, backwards.
It didnt blow up the tranny and split the case until I moved back to New York.
The owner of the local bike shop in town told me it was THE single most extensive warranty job he has ever done.UGH!
