GPS QUESTION
Thinking about purchasing one but don't know anything about them.I will mainly use it for trail riding and occasionaly on the street. Is there one that holds up to the vibration and bumps a KX250f and the northwoods of Michigan can throw at it? Do they work on airplanes? Who makes a handlebar mount? What price range am I looking at? Any info will be appreciated. Thanks, Ken

I use a garmin style GPS12 Model right now for my bike. I like the street pilot IIIC....check out there websight for something that is suitable for you. You can also check out the Etrex websites as well they have some pretty tough models out there. I used an Etrex summit while in the desert in Iraq. Its light and only uses 2AA batteries. I know there is a handle bar mount for that, my buddy uses one on his intruder which has round style handlebars....just a few ideas.....

The Garmin Etrex Vista is a slick unit as well...WAAS enabled and decent memory. There are handlebar mounts available from RAM (http://www.ram-mount.com/) for almost any GPS. Make sure you get an IPX7 (submersion) or IPX8 (underwater use) waterproof cerification.....I believe all the Etrex series are IPX7.
The Etrex Camo is built for hunters and the like...may be what you are looking for.
Any Garmin product is good...just depends what your budget is and the features you want..
Check out www.gpscity.com for some baseline prices....usually pretty good and have an excellent service history.
