That brings tears to my ears.

My 12 way back dynoed at 166.7 hp at the rear wheel, but the 12 carries extra 150 lbs or so. I wonder if the extra torque that the 12 has makes up the difference!

I went to the above sight and downloaded one of the wallpapers, the one on the left, with the front wheel just of off the ground. Did anyone notice the chain as it is being picked by the rear sprocket? Is that a loose chain is that normal?

We know 1 HP + around 8 lbs but what does TQ = per lbs. If the numbers are right then the zx10 is only 12 lower on TQ than a zx12.

Even if the dyno numbers are high. You MUST compare apples to apples. A zx10r dynoed at 161hp. A CBR1000 on the same dyno registered 153hp and a GSXR1000 152hp on the same dyno. I know they were on different days but this is about as close as you're going to get from a mag. Either way the 10r is going to ROCK.

Hey Kerry, I just want to thank ya for all you help and time at the show in Indy, it was great meeting you, and thank you for all the info that you gave me for my little project. I hve been doing research on that and its gonna take more time than I am able to put into it right now, so its gonna have to wait. kelly and I are going to continue our research, adn planning...thanks again....Jim

That's not necessarly true. That rule of thumb figure is dependant on the total weight of the machine.

I can bet that the new zx10 is faster than a zx12r.
Hands down.

We will find out soon enough. I will be drag strip testing and land speed racing a ZX10R this season.

Well, in real life if a bike gets to 175mph faster than other is faster by all means and Im pretty shure that will be the case.
