Zhooligan memorial ride is 28 March Brothers Honda in Bremerton, WA is going to host a memorial ride for Don Blair (Zhooligan) on 28 March.
It will be in the form of a poker run, and I've been asked to lay out the route. My preliminary route comes up at 160 miles and consists about 80% shoreline roads. Everyone's invited to attend, and if anyone up north wants to come down the night before, I can provide crash space in the form of a spare bedroom or couches downstairs. Obviously, couples (like Fish and PK or Dino and Wormhole) get first pref on the bedroom, but other than that, mi casa su casa. I'm going to put the route in their hands today, and maybe pre ride / drive the route. I'll update this post with a firm date and starting time when I get it.

...I'd like to attend this worthwhile event, however, if I have to share a room with Dino, I'm double-duct-taping my Ti reinforced underwear to my body...no touchy!....ya' freeeks....

Dang...I was going to be up there the last weekend of March...so we'll see if I can make it. But let's see...that weekend is March 20-21 so thanks to this crazy thing called Spring Break, I should be able to make it.
How many riders do you think will be doing the ride? What do you expect the weather to be like around that time?

Beans - A poker run is where you make five stops, and collect a card at each stop. The best hand at the end of the run wins!
Worm - Since this is a poker run, not a pokehim run, you should be ok!

*laughs* As an update, the ride has to fit into a 3 hour window, so it's been shorted to accomodate that. I did throw in some twisty stuff to make it more interesting tho.

Well, when you look at the window for sending people out and them getting back, you have to tack on hours on both ends...But if you want to do some more riding, ain't no sweat! I know lotsa roads. ____________

sounds like an awesome idea swft! not sure if i can pull it off unforutnately as i rather doubt i'll be able to get hte bike on the road by then, but i will try.

Coolness. Like I posted, Brothers Honda is hosting it. I just helped in building the route. Will be kinda a bittersweet ride for me, because Zhooligan and I ran those roads a lot on our 12s. Ah, fun times, and fondly remembered. I sure miss that guy. ____________

Yep...you can count me in too as well! I am trying to bring a fellow rider as well. And maybe I can get wormser to go out there too.
It would be cool to have a patch to throw onto my Vanson in memory of our friend. Is that what your referring to Necro?

Yes. beanbaster. I have one left that I was going to put on my riding jacket (I have one on the racing leather), but I thought that I should probably order 5 or 6 more.
