better breathing = bigger TB's? or not??

As some of you know, I have a ZX12 all motor 1427, muzzy cams, 14.2:1 CR, stock head, stock TB's.

The next issue I want now to deal with is breathing.

Some pretty good concensus on valves/head:

1. leave the stock sized valves, but

2. have a very careful valve job done, paying attention to shape of the valve face, and the width of the contact between the valve & seat,

3. do careful cleanup on the intake port, nothing extreme, keeping some % (i forget) relationship between valve size and intake port size.

4. clean up the exhaust port (specifics?)

5. match carefully the boots to head.

BUT - TB????

1. I get no concensus on whether BigBlock, NA 12's have gotten extra power out of bigger TB's.

2. how you would need bigger ID stacks if you bore out TB's; seems like you'd want to carry the extra TB ID right up to the airbox??

I understand this type of question is kinda like asking: "what's the best cam setting?", but maybe some folks can spill their guts just a bit?? It would be much appreciated..

Thanks
