Good on ya mate! I'm 55 and use oxygen most of the time. I can ride my 12R but I've got to be real careful about getting out of breath.. I have chronic obtructive pulmonary disease and smoking was a major contributor along with bouts of pneumonia and bad medical care in the USAF.. If I had been able to quit years earlier, age 40 or so, I may have had a chance.. Do some reading about COPD and that will help you stay away from the killer tobacco.. BTW, I also have given up another addiction, Skoal Bandits and that wasn't easy either.. Spare yourself the agony, and I do mean agony, of having a chronic. progressive preventable disease at a young age like me.. Thank God for my family and my 12R.. Good luck to you in giving up cigarettes. It's hard but you will make it. Also BTW, two of my smoking daughters have quit cold turkey after seeing what I am going through. I'm am so proud of them... Ride On..... Mr Bill

Keep it up Dino.... You can do it bro, you'll feel much better once you've got that monkey off your back. I stopped smoking (cigarettes that is ) last July and it was tough, but with the support from family and friends I made it. Going to the gym is much easier now, plus I'm not wasting all that $$$$$ on fuckin' cigs!!!!!!
Now my wife has even quit,...though she did have a much tougher time than I did.
Just hang in there dude, your quality of life is at stake here.

...absolutely wonderful, Dino my friend....hey, maybe I can give you my fat jeans...you might be able to fit your whole body inside one pant leg if you fatten up enough...one pant leg would be a fabulous and stylish jeans-skirt fer' ya, darlin' ...the beautiful and talented Ms Anne could sew up one fer ya' ...I've cut my caloric intake basically in half and been running 5 miles @ a 9 minute pace every other day (not bad for a clydesdale like me who absolutely hates running...goal is 7:30 mile)...and doing 100~200 crunches a day (not all at one time, but total throughout the day)...my goal is to change my beer-keg belly into a sixpack (not a six-pack of beer, either)...went 'consciously' cold turkey on all sweets and ice-cream since Jan. 1st....I'm down two sizes in my jeans and have dropped 20 lbs so far...had a COMPLETE physical yesterday OUCH!!! ("hey doc, since you're touching me there can I call you by your first name?")...shrank 1/2" (in height, smartass)...heart/lung at full capacity...waiting for the blood panels to come back, but I should be ok for a 49 year-old...us 'older' guys gotta do all we can to keep up with the younginz'...Doug, don't let us 'old guys' kick yer' ass!
Again...CONGRATS, DINO!!!!!!....KEEP IT UP!!!! ____________ “We sleep safe in our beds because rough men

Damn, I didn't realize how much money i am saving.
I quite when the hit $2, that was about 5 years ago.
Dino you can do it if you want to.
I was a pack a day for over 15 years also.
I need to quite was boosted by my 6yr old telling everyone at the
family dinner that " my daddy do drugs".
After a bit of talking yes said . " you smoke cigs and my teachers says cigs are drugs". That's what they teach in school now!

What do your little one think of you?
It's funny because my 8yr old little girl told me the exact same thing the other day when I was drinking a beer. "Dad why do you do drugs?" It's hard to argue with an 8yr old when ya know she's right.
