Reports from the NYC bike show

Well, they had Erics bike at the show. As well as another ss bike.
And of course thay had that ugly glamor queen zx12.

There was an interesting R1 engine on a stand in the yamaha area. I got a real good inspection of the new slider fuel injection on that thing.
If you guys thought the zx12r manifolds were mis-aligned you should see the R1 manifolds. There was twice the "shelf" on that setup. The slider setup was trick thou.
the engine actually has multiple iar injection into the exhaust from what I could tell from this revolving engine.
I actually stuck the Marrietta motorsports cataloug in the damn engine mount to stop it from turning so I could get a good look.

Crotch rocket, I talked with a gent from the staten island kawi dealer. Or A staten island dealer I should say.

He was a mechanic there at the dealer and he is building a zx12r drag bike. It was my understanding that he has the engine from a wrecked 12r.

Doug, I looked around for you several times on the "blue" rug. Got a good closeup look at that steering damper of yours. Its a very nicely made piece. Also got a good look at the JE slugs for the 1270 kit. They are typical JE.
I have one particular set of JE pistons in one of my SBC Dart engines that are 18 years old. They have had a hard life in my wifes 67 chevelle all these years and they were blueprinted a few years back with all numbers the same as they were 18 years ago. Good stuff.

The most impressive booth again this year was for a calander. The crowd was large around the representitive for the calander. She looked like she was an expert. She was very friendly and pleasing to the eye.
I walked away fealing very satisfied.

Crotchrocket and some others were going, so hopefully they "noticed" the booth with the best products.
