Can someone explain to me what exactly a "spun bearing" is and what are symptoms of a spun bearing?

I've heard alot stupider questions. There is two halves to a bearing. When you spin a bearing one half slips and they don't fit right anymore resulting in noise and possibly engine seizure. Not a pretty picture!

Usually the result of oil starvation. The bearing heats up, spins cause there's no oil to cool/lube.

If you do it real good, the bearing seizes to the crank and spins inside the rod until....BOOM!
