all my pilot buddies think I am foolish. I did it the first time cuz everyone at my work was doing it. Very, very frightening.

They say 250 is the limit but they lie. I jumped at 275 and my pal was over 280 and tall too. Some lady called us "fast fallers". You just have to jump with a guhl or one of the wee lads. The dude who jumped with me taught Charlie Sheen to jump for that crap movie I can't remember the name of. Super cool and nothing I have ever done drugs or sex included is like that 30 secs of freefall. I would do it every day if people including the owner( via con dios Roger) of the place would stop dying. The Skydive Chicago has an unusual number of deaths. They don't ever kill tandem jumpers. Well hardly ever! lol. Mostly parachute deaths are operator error or stupidity just like motorcycles.

I have well over 100 military jumps and 1 civi jump.the civi jump was actually kinda boring to me.You slide out hang on the wing and let go doing about 80-90 mph.Doesnt hold a candle to going off the ramp of a C-130 in the middle of the night doing 150MPH with a full combat load.
My unit was in Arlington Hts I think some of our guys were instructors at Skydive Chicago.One of my Cheifs died in a plane crash in 92.Plane load of skydivers went down in Illinois.Bitch of it was he had over 10,000 jumps and dies in a freakin plane crash

ZX....yes i am a K-9 Officer. Seems like the city boys don't think that we do anything but sit on our asses. So he popped me. He tried to get me for speeding, but I was keeping with the flow of traffic. I guess my get out of jail free card expired. And for the record...I have never given a ticket for exibition of speed or wheelies.

Small world. I worked for some remaining family members of 3 guys who went down on that plane too. Nice people.

What about the wheelies gone bad, I have a 2002 12R & was doing a bad ass 2nd gear at about 80 till I decided to play with my handlebars ,ooops landed with my tire a lil sideways and got into the worst tank slapper of my life. Good news I just got a lil road rash on my right side of the body and the same for the bike, busted clutch cover-right fairing and front cowling. Ready for more though. No wheelie tickets yet just warnings, one speeding- 85 on a 65 ; did defensive driving and still have a clean record. 2yrs of wheelies and speeding so I cant complain yet.

GOOD to hear your ok, I had the same thing happen to me on a old kz1000
and got some road rash.
My 03 12R tried it once scared the shit out of me, this spring I am going to get a steering damper to help this from happening again.$500 from muzzy but what is $500 if it saves your azz!
