They changed mine on the spot

As soon as I took it in to the dealer here in wilmington.
My local dealer I purchased my bike from always wanted to keep my bike overnight.I was there a few weeks ago and told him I would probably be getting a new bike in a few months and he said I'll have to order one for you. I gave him my "How bout you fuck off and die look" I ain't buying shit from them unless absolutely nessary!

Unless someone parked their bike IN the ocean...

I can't figure out how these nuts can crack due to "possible" corrosion. Another "pisser" is the nuts are not really diffrent, just... BIGGER. The OEM nuts were 14 mm and the new ones are the huge 17 mm monsters. I'd be interested in knowing how many ACTUAL failures there really was.

Yeah, one of you guys who works at a dealer do some digging & give us the REAL story. I heard there were 8 failures worldwide, one resulting in a fatality in Germany on the Autobaun. I don't know if this is true or not, but I wonder?

Ok, one of you guys who's good at physics/math do some calculations:

Weight of nut
how much does it weigh at 170, 180, 190, etc. (centrifugal forces?)

Just curious...
