Dunlop 208 GPA"S
I just picked up a set of 208 GPA'a in a super soft compound, I know the tires wont last long but I expect them to give some pretty serious traction. Does anyone have any expierence with these tires? Are there any suspension quirks that I need to know about with them? Do I need to make any kind of Chassis set up changes to accomadate them? I know some of these questions are off the wall, but I was told that these tires tend to give some bikes a headshake. My bike(ZX6RR) has always been rock solid as far as stability goes. I just took off a set of SuperCorsas in the soft compound which were very nice, but gave the bike a bit of a twitch durng transition from full lean left to right, and back. and while leaned hard through a long sweeper. It was nothing serious, just a bit unsetttleing. So I picked these up off the Dunlop trailer off the track, talke to the rep about air pressures and wear patterns on the tire. But he never mentioned the headshake thing, I find this out from a local racer that has used them. Problem is I dont run a sterring damper on this bike, I hae never needed it in the past. Any input form any of you all?

well nevermind, you all wernt any dam help with these tires, fortunately I didnt need to make any changes, except to air pressure....those tires get hot and sticky....by far the best tire I have ever ridden on the track....great traction, very predicatable....I give them 5 stars.....I strongly recommend these tires to track day riders and racers....I got the whole day out of this set, but they will only be good fro street riding from here on out...

24th & 25th this month.
Always group 3 baby! The 12 vaporizes the straights, but I do faster laps times on 600RR, 636, 954 & RC51.

was out at the4 track with Gene, and any of the guys that were at DGVI with us, Gene isnt slow. But Gene on his 12 couldnt keep up with the 6RR around Roebling. It really pissed him off....lol the 12 just isnt made to go as fast around corners as the smalller lighter bikes.....

That beast reminds you often you have a handful, doesn't she? She really likes a slow and steady hand....
I was at Texas World Speedway in College Station, TX and a guy on a 12-R was fookin' waxin' people in the RACE group. It's an old NASCAR track with big, long, sweeping turns, just what the 12 likes. There's only one small hairpin then a big chicane....he was running on the inside of guys on 600's.
He had my nuts on his dash for sure.

i dont even like to ride my 12 that hard....first off I am not that comfortable with it when I ride it like that, and 2 I have way too much in it if I drop it....if I wanna get silly I will pull that little green bike out, atleast it wont cost me my first born to fix it, or replace it....
