Noobie Checking In

Hi Guys,
I am new to your site and checking in with a first post. I recently purchased a 2012 ZX14R and I absolutely love it. I have managed to put a Brock's Alien Head system on it with a PCV and Brock's mapping. This bike rocks. For the most part, I collect and restore CBX Honda's. While they both put out a lot of horsepower, the 14 is definitely quicker than my turbo CBX's. Anyway, just wanted to say hi and thank you for all the information I have been able to find on this site. All this new technology is overwhelming.
Best,
Phil

Thank you gents,
Love the play(s) on words. I'll post a few photos when I get it all figured out here. There are a couple of people on this site that I know and I am sure they will eventually stop in. ZXBob is a good friend and I think Wheelie is as well although from a distance on line.
Thank You For The Welcome.

I had a cb550f, had 2 motors in it, they last @35k then die & cost money to revive. Great bikes though, solid, handle poorly, solid, don't stop for shit, solid, eat gas like it's 35 cents a gal., solid, run hard skinny tires. Ah, the memories. At least I didn't have to work on it every other day like my Triumph 750 triple.

Oh yeah welcome.

Smokin, I had a new silver one in '79 as well. I now have a 3000 mile unrestored one that is really nice. I currently have a total of 8 running, nice CBX's including a very rare Moto Martin and two very built turbo's. I suspect that the ZX14 could end up with a turbo as well but for right now, it is pretty fast and a lot of fun.
The name FalldownPhil did not come from falling down but from being the little guy that everyone wanted to Jockey their bike many years ago. "You keep riding like that Phil and you are going to fall down" The name just kind of happened and I still use it. Sad part is, I am not 110 pounds anymore. Thanks again for the welcome.

Welcome aboard Phil CBX's are very cool, never got to ride one, but when I was going to school back in the day to be a bike tech, we had a cbx honda donated to the school. I was drooling waiting to get to be able to open it up and get some experience working on that big ole' straight 6......but the school kept it on display as a showpiece, never even started it
I ride a boosted 06 14, would love to ride a boosted cbx as well just for the experience
