ZZR1400 2012 Stock pipe - pic ???
Hi,
The following photos show how the stock pipe looks like just before cans on the right hand side.
It seems to be similar in every bikes, is this normal workmanship quality or what's behind this?
What about in ZX-14Rs, is it same?
At least one good reason more to get rid of stock exhaust 
This photo was taken after the very first 40km ride and the pipe is already brown color --> does it mean that the temperature is pretty high on that position too?

Dam. Mine is not that beat.... Its alot cleaner. As far as the brown color I dont recall correctly but I do think mine is not that dark.

Mine was exactly the same. I was very happy to replace the stock 'bazookas' with TB carbon slip-ons + P1X inserts instead of that crumpled mess. In fact they fit so well I have to wonder why KHI had to do it so rough.
High grade stainless steel will turn a golden colour after several heat cycles - all normal.

You think they wouldnt use a hammer to bend pipe...next generation bikes, old school methods. Lol

are you telling us that pipe is bent like that on it`s own.if so you had to be way down on power...........come on now you smashed it somehow correct.......

I just checked mine out. Perfectly normal. Something between you and the factory made that mess.

And you specially checked right hand side as left side is ok on my bike as well.
Is it possible to shoot a photo somehow?

I agree that has got to be some kind of shipping damage or something. There is no way kawi would send out a bike like this with this price tag and that kind of hack job???? 
My 07 had a SLIGHT uniform indentation there for clearance, but you could tell it was definately made with a machine and it was VERY small, didn't affect flow at all when I pulled it off and looked in. That has to be improper shipping or something.....just aint right

I just can't believe that this can happen during shipment neither as everybody knows how well these bikes have been packed inside metal frames and other covers. And surely something else would have been damaged as well.
And so many bikes with the same "feature"

mine doesn't have to run anything ... i leave that to HTP and the stock motor 8.42 in the 1/4 mile pass .. and bill warner and the 315mph LSR stuff .. busa busa busa
