Do you have your tickets yet? In October of 2006 over 330 women riders came from all parts of the country to sunny Las Vegas, Nevada to ride an arsenal of bikes at Femmoto, Sportbike Track Time's exclusive women's only track event.
With support from the aftermarket and several of the OEM's, Femmoto offers ladies the almost unheard of opportunity to take a variety of brand new motorcycles out onto the racetrack in a girl-friendly environment.
For 2007 Femmoto's announced the support of Suzuki and Honda. Suzuki is participating in the street demo program and Honda is bringing demo bikes for on-track riding. The addition of these two brands brings the total to eight OEM's participating in this event, including Kawasaki, Aprilia, Buell, Ducati, Kymco and Harley-Davidson.
Last year's choice of bikes was larger than previous events; from title sponsor Kawasaki's full sportbike lineup to Ducati and their luscious 999, women had a chance to take these amazing and often frighteningly expensive pieces of machinery out for 20-minute track sessions on the Las Vegas Motor Speedway road course.
At Femmoto 2006 representatives from Ducati were ecstatic with the success of the event and the professionalism displayed by the attendees. Ducati told Bikeland, "All we've had is some scratched bodywork on a 999 and a broken mirror on another bike. We're impressed! If this had been a men's event all the bikes would be destroyed and there'd be columns of black smoke rising from the track!"
Femmoto's dirt school presented by Kawasaki Motors Corp (USA) returns for its second year. This school gives women the opportunity to get some professional dirt riding experience while being taught by some Kawasaki sponsored Team Green riders with off road bikes supplied by KMC.

New for 2007 are a couple of Guy friendly Femmoto events. The Friday "bring your own bike" track day is open to male and female guests of Femmoto registrants, and is run by Sportbike Track Time. Also, for the first time men can sign up for a limited amount of spots to go on the street demo rides on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
Organizers Bonnie and Monty have done an amazing job with this event and don't stop at doing a track day - they also use this opportunity to raise money for the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation - "Race For The Cure". A portion of Club Femmoto membership fees will go towards this cause.
With all the buzz surrounding Femmoto and with the event growing every year we can only imagine how large this event will become!
