In a turn 12 crash that sent Miguel's CBR1000RR careening into the air fence, the veteran rider suffered serious injuries including injuries to his lungs and liver.
Bikeland spoke with American Honda and they could offer no further information on his condition at this time.
The Canadian born Duhamel began riding at the age of 3 and has had a lengthy career spanning several decades. His accomplishments include eight AMA national championships, five 600 Supersport titles, a Superbike crown and two 600-class Formula Xtreme titles.
Miguel is a personable and friendly guy. He's great to talk to and all of us at Bikeland wish him a safe and speedy recovery.
