Ducati Celebrates Continuing Partnership with Oakley

Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca's Ducati Island played host to a celebration in recognition of Ducati's continuing partnership with Oakley. Seen as two companies who drive innovation in their respective industries, Oakley and Ducati have renewed a 3 year agreement after working together since 2003.

Guest appearances by MotoGP riders Loris Capirossi and Casey Stoner as well as compelling demonstrations showcasing the quality of optics and the high safety standards established by Oakley in the field of eyewear, made for an interesting event, and helped reinforce how two companies from different industries can work together with similar goals in mind.

"Oakley continually raises the bar for performance eyewear and the company's innovative designs continue to be the favorite of Ducati racers," commented Gabriele Del Torchio, chief executive officer of Ducati Motor Holding S.p.A. "Oakley is a dynamic and compelling brand that succeeds by combining the very best technologies and designs, and their ideals of excellence reflect the same uncompromising standards of Ducati engineering and design. We embrace this opportunity to build on our partnership and enrich Ducati's global network with additional products that salute the best of both companies."

Well worth a few minutes of your time is a tour through the Oakley truck, where you'll see Oakley eyewear being subjected to rigorous (and destructive) tests.
