Bikeland.org would like to thank all of its readers, contributors and sponsors for another successful and exciting year. 2005 was marked by tragic global events, but also by great innovation in the motorcycle industry. The announcement of exciting new models for 2006 from many of the OEMs proves that the future truly is something to look forward to.
In 2005 Bikeland.org was pleased to host Fox Hill at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca's MotoGp, The Grudge Race at MIR sponsored by Orient Express, Muzzys, Kawasaki, Dynojet, Elf Motor Oils and EBC Brakes. Bikeland raised over $200 for the Rick Hansen "Man in Motion" Spinal Cord research foundation with it's Charity raffle of a Muzzys Titanium exhaust system. Bikeland is a proud supporter of SportBike West, the northwest's largest Sportbike rally.
Bikeland also brought you reports from the 2005 Dealer Show in Indianapolis, Femmemoto, Infineon Raceway and the Cycleworld International Motorcycle shows to name a few.
2005 also bid farewell to some losses in our community. Motorcycle Road Runner editor Christian Neuhauser died in an accident, as did the first lady of motorcycling, Flying Swan owner Julia Sit. Motorcycle traveler Simon Milward also passed away.
We hope that the New Year is a prosperous and safe one for you and your families. Take care and enjoy the sport of motorcycling. Share your stories with us, and the rest of the world.
Happy New Year from all of us at Bikeland.org!
