STONER SETS A RECORD AT LE MANS IN THE SECOND DAY OF TESTING

Casey Stoner is again the fastest at the second day of testing on the circuit at Le Mans. The Australian rider of Carrera Sunglasses LCR broke the official track record set by Pedrosa in 2004 (1'37"123) with the time of 1'36"920. His teammate, Roberto Locatelli, tried very hard all day throughout his 52 laps, clocking his best at 1'39"6.

Difficulties for Alex De Angelis, the rider of the MS Aprilia Italia Corse, who was only able to finish a few laps due to pain in his right ankle (injured Sunday on the track). Simone Corsi instead improved to 1'38"8 as opposed to the 1'39"3 that he clocked yesterday. The Roman rider completed about 50 laps.

Great work for Randy de Puniet who, on his home circuit, completed an extremely long session of 80 laps. In the absence of his teammate, Sebastian Porto (who left the track yesterday), Randy marked his best time at 1'38"2.

The second day of testing took place without any inconveniences for the official riders and no mechanical problems for the Aprilia RSW's.
