Sportbikewest 2004 Pix....

Chase Harper bags on the 10R... a perfect fit! Ha.. I tried to sell these 3 years ago in the classifieds and no one wanted them! Now I'm happy they didnt sell!

PrincessKiwi in Pemberton BC.. lovely raingear... suddenly it's damn cold out too!

I thought I was nuts bringing my electric vest in August, but when the weather turned nasty it was possitively tropical inside my leathers! Thank God for technology!!

Freek pulls up... he's beta-testing KMC's 06 Streetfighter 12R (entitled the "ZX-12X"... see "replacement for ZX-12R forum" for more info)

PrincessKiwi learns the hard way not the lean against that hot exhaust in raingear!

PrincessKiwi and Freek, both clad in "elegant yellow"

We stop at the memorial to say goodbye to a fallen member...

Freek's raingear reaches "critical failure" and needs a little touch-up...

The Kawasakis at SBW

Bananabikeman and PrincessKiwi

How times change... Dirtybill sits with Flyingbusa at STARBUCKS!!! Who'd have ever imagined that!!

We briefly chat with the VROMs...

It was great being welcomed by the local community... Much different than the attitude in Kelowna, BC... (previous city that hosted the event)

Riders gathering for doorprizes...

DirtyBill wins a doorprize! He's still scowling! Doesnt that guy EVER smile???

Like a kid on Christmas morning, DirtyBill finally cracks...

And what happened then...?
Well...in Who-ville they say
That the Grinch's small heart
Grew three sizes that day!

Someone's ZX-10R fairs quite well in the dyno-shootout... Arata and Powercommander

A good time was had by all... Hope next year will be even bigger... Many thanks to Owen for all of his hard work... he needs to learn to relax and smile... people were starting to mistake him for DirtyBill... One comment.. the official "ride of thunder" was cancelled... we observed this to be a mistake.. We walked up the main street a few times and noticed elderly people and other residents of Oliver bringing out chairs to the side of the street and waiting for what they thought was a "parade" ... IMHO I think we disappointed them.. in such a small town a parade is a big deal.. more thought needs to be put into that for next year...

that's all for now.. check out the stunting thread for more pix...
